Just to let you know, after watching a programme about preparing animals after slaughter, and reading this topic last night, I had a very strange dream about cutting off a man's head.

He was alive, and although at the beginning of the dream he was a very unwilling participant in a murder plot, by the end he was explaining to me how I should best do the job.

Incidentally, there was no blood, and it cut like a well hung lamb. He was talking until his throat was severed, which was odd.

And just for your information, I started off with a fairly robust bread knife, which seemed to turn into a heavy duty hacksaw half way through.

Thanks for that experience.

If you want a easy to get, cheap, disposable sword of a type, go to your local hardware store and buy a machete. The steel is pretty soft, but strong enough for your job.

If this discussion weren't disturbing enough already, it just got more so. So, I feel that I must reiterate ths point:

Killing people is wrong. Cutting off the head of a living human being is a terrible thing to do, no matter what method you choose to do it with. And that includes using a really, really slow moving laser that gives the protagonist plenty of time to escape from whatever bonds he or she happens to be entrapped in.

I assume the capitals imply the name of a chain, in which case I've never heard of such a place.

Theoretically a hack saw would be fun, but I would need two heads, so I could try starting at the front and the back.

The clear answer here is the hacksaw. My gut reaction was to go with chainsaw, but I realized a hacksaw is also sufficiently gory and painful, with the wonderful bonus of being a much more 'hands-on' experience and being much quieter than a chainsaw, allowing me to either substitute in my own chainsaw soudn effects or whistle up a merry tune.

Hey there ATT, I'm back.
I guess so.

You are not mistaken. I was just in a bad sort of mood, saw a cheap shot and decided to take it. Truthfully unless your someone like moosemoss, odds are extremely good that I don't hate you.

Not really, it's probably one of the best things that's come out of 21st century television.

I finally decided to watch all of Arrested Development this summer, and am getting into the last season. I don't know what I'll do when it's gone.
