Hey everyone, just wanted to share an idea with you. I've started a new game, and as I play it, my ultimate goal is to get all the items in the game. No, this doesn't mean that I'm going to take every single thing until Cythera is devoid of any items at all - this would be an impossible task, as many items respawn. No, what I intend to do is to eventually have at least one of every single different item, even the useless and unimportant ones. This will also include different variations on the same item. For example, in my collection of containers, I will have a chest, but in addition to having that one in its natural "closed" position, I will also have an open one, a locked one, and a magically locked one. I plan to get several of each different edged weapon, so I can have one in each different stage of magical improvement. The items I get are sorted and stored in chests, which I keep in my desk drawer in Landking Hall. The collection will also include corpses, as those are items too, and those I am keeping in my dresser.

So far it's been pretty fun, you guys might want to try it.

Later I'll post a list of what I have.

Sounds fun and good luck!

Words of advice: To make your topic look clean and tidy, just edit a list of all obtained items into your first post.

Oh and tell me if you ever get that crystal ball in LKH. :P

I'm more curious about the drawer, at least we know the crystal ball is to no use.

I'm not gonna bother with the crystal ball. If it were something really special like an orange crystal ball or something like that, I'd probably try, but I'm not going to get into hacking for something I can get elsewhere in the game. As for the drawer, I remember someone posting a long time ago who had hacked his save file and moved himself into the "white room", and he said the drawer was empty.

Speaking of items, ultimate armour and weapons anyone?

The best all around set I can get is:

Omen's Ring
Ring of Resistance
Aligator boots
Odd Helm
Full Sheild
Regen Amulet
Mystic Armour
Belt of Strength
Hercules Cloak
Sword of Heros (yay!)

You can sacrifice the Mystic Helm for the odd helm since all the other high-defensive armour, and it will protect you greatly when taking on those demons and lich. I'd leave my party at LKH since they die so easily, returning occasionally to restock on potions and food. Do all this and live out that adventuring fanstasy of yours. The powerful loner freeing the land and helping the people, and maybe playing a game of chess or two with UrSylph.

Can you replicate any of the rings, does the ring of resistance make you invincable, and does the spell resist blows make you invincable?

Regen Amuelt? Hrm...

This makes me think about sacks. Anyone know of sacks? They are sold in Pynx. What I always did was take a chest, fill it with 7(I think) empty sacks, then fill the sacks with stuff. :P

The rings can be replicated, I think, but the duplicates are useless except for decoration.
The ring of resistance is only a shield, better than the full shield, as I understand.
And I don't really remember Resist Blows, but I think it's just a bit of extra protection?

Thanks, Selax. I am having success so far, but not great success. You see, I'm really kicking myself now because there are items that I can't get anymore: the first two pieces of the Crolna as well as the Sapphire books - I didn't know of the duplicating trick yet, and I can't unbind the Crolna or get the books back. Also, there are two keys I forgot to get that I can't get any more. One is a key from Naxos in Cademia, who is dead or dissapeared now after the murder of Opheltius. The other is the one the beggar in Kosha gives to you if you give him enough money. Oh well. It's not worth starting over for, I will be doing this again later, so for now, this will just have to be an almost complete collection.

I have no idea. All I know is that I want it. If I remember correctly, it was a brass key labeled "E".

I don't see different colored cloths on your list (just what I see), flax, thread, fishing rod, fly rod... speaking of fly rod.. someone with the skill fishing do me a favor and go to Odemia to the fisherman's home. In it he has some lobster traps and a fly rod...maybe if you tried fishing with the fly rod it would work.. just a thought...
Shovel, rake, hoe...pail...pail with water...pail with milk...pitcher...with milk and water....silverware and plates, goblets...how about foods?

Hey, guys, take it easy. I said I'd post more later, so relax and be patient. If you didn't notice, I'm not just posting random items, I'm going a few categories at a time, so instead of just pointing out items that aren't up yet, try and see if theres one missing from one of the above categories instead - but I am glad you mentioned the Fly Rod Percinator, I forgot about that one. I'm posting Armor and a few others right now.

-update-
I went to Omedia, and I can't find the Fly Rod! Does anyone know where else I can get it?

I would think that amulet Alric gives you would go in the armour category, or maybe a "Magical Items" category.

You might also want these catagories:
Tools or Utensils, such as forks, plates and shovels.
Other, for everything else like that glitched peice of clothing in Kosha or the strange black discs in the Seldane village.

By the way, I remeber hearing about a talking fountain a while ago on these forums. Anyone got a clue?

Oh yah don't forget normal and poisoned crates.

Yeah it probably was the Cademia fisherman's home...my bad :P
Has anyone tried fishing with fly rod? Please do it for conformation... although fishing was probably never completed, you never know.

Two Jacks:
The Landking Amulet isn't going to go into the Armor category, because it doesn't actually protect you from blows or attacks. It just revives you when you die. It's the same with Omen's Ring. It doesn't actually protect you in battle, but it heals you. I'm still not sure if the Gator Boots belong in there, but they protect you from poison, so they're in there for now.

Also, forks and plates are already sorted, but I may creat a tool category anyway. I just to want any categories that are too broad or too specific. I may do a magical item category, but the problem is, is half of the magical items already are in another category, for example, the scrolls, the ring of resistance, all the alchemy-related items, magical weapons and armor. I'd rather not do an "Other" category, because it is so broad. But on the other hand, that might mean having a "Musical instruments" cagegory, which would only have three items in it. It's just hard to find a balance. Oh, and I don't think that I'll pick up the cape in Kosha. Other than the fact that you find other clothing items in it if you search it, it's no different than any other cape. In my current game, I think I've already searched it, so I'd have to start over. And even If I did, there would be no way know how it's different. I, of course would know that there's clothes hidden in it, but it might as well be a normal cape, because the only way to show that is to search it, and then it would no longer be any different.

One more thing - I don't think you can pick up crates, poisoned or otherwise. However, when I played cythera years ago when I was younger, I swear to god that I picked up a poison trap. When I try now, I can't. Is there any sort of known glitch that I might have triggered that makes this possible? Or maybe it was an older version in which you were able to pick one up. Anyone know?

Percinator:

If you're talking about Stentor's home, I don't think he has any furniture other than a bed and a chair. I do remember seing a fishing net in one other house there though... I'll check it out later.

I remeber being able to pick up a crate once... You could combine categories, like "Magical and Musical" could be "Unique Items".

Yeah... I think it's a glitch item actually. I heard about it on an old post. Someone said you got it from Aethon, but he didn't have it when he joined my party. Later however, it somehow showed up in my inventory, but before I could save it crashed ;) . But I figured that maybe it showed up when dividing food... similar to the glitch when Emesa gives you an edible Strange Device... so I divided food a couple of times, and lo and behold, I had a Mushroom Steak! Yay! I replicated it a couple times, just in case, and keep my Mushroom Steaks in my food chest.

You know what the only way to solve this mystery, right? Some one has to go and check every crate in the game to see if it can be picked up! :P

Oh, and I forgot - the "talking fountain" you speak of is the wishing fountain, which is in the catacombs under Pynx.

Yeah, I found out that the trick is to just keep useing it untill it talks to you. I wonder what would happen if you got buckets of it?

Anyways, now that I found it I'm met with another delima. Is there any wish that is not "found elsewhere"? I think there might be but it could just be they wanted you to read the "No purchase nessacary" text. (still funny)
