If the folder in the download doesn't provide enough info, I'll help:

1. Download the patch.
2. Open the folder.
3. Now in your "Cythera" folder, if there already isn't one, make a folder labled "Patches".
4. Put the "Pumpkin" patch in the "Patches" folder.
5. Drag the "Magpie" application in to your "Cythera" folder.
6. Start up the "Magpie" application.
7. Highlight the text, "Official addon: Magpie's Pumpkin Patch", some text about the patch should show up in the bottom right of the window.
8. Click "Make It So".
9. Your done! Just boot up Cythera and look for the changes!

The changes include:
All trees and some other greenery have been given a "Fall" tenting, and all items known as "Plants" have been replaced with Jack-o-Lanturns. This has no efect on the story or gameplay.

You might want to make a duplicate "Cythera Data" before applying the patch but the "Magpie" app has the option to remove the patch.

How about we make a new patch the does a massive overhall of the graphics of Cythera. That might inspire ASW to make the game a carbon version. :P (Like EVN)

Your welcome IT 000. Strange name, what's it mean?

Alot of people have had that problem with the boards, (including me). There was even a topic about it that has the solution inside:
Here it is.

Indeed, one of the reasons that I was curious about the origins of the patch is because it would require knowing the PICT numbers. Such knowledge might enable additional graphical changes, at least to plants and such, although I don't know how extensive these would be. Maybe I should just examine the patch in hex-edit...

(It would be even more fun to figure out how to alter your character's graphic. I have accidentally modified his portrait before, but I can't control that and have not really examined graphics in any case.)

Cythera is not getting a lot of posters but I advise that the most logical reason is the end of the year, I am positive that people will return with the end of the year, and if they don't this has happened in the past, Cythera goes through a Posting drought, sometimes last weeks deserted, but please remain calm, Cythera forum does this more then once around this time and when Slayer 'quit' (Notice the quotes) Let's just hang in there until were through this 'drought'. Though the worst possibilities is that we end up like the Ferazels Wand forum. :P

There was at least one post that told us abandon ship, but we didn't! and Cythera entered another Golden Age! So hang in there!

You know, this topic was interesting to look through again as I was posting because Cythera is just now having another bout of activity. We have this pattern of activity, inactivity, and activity again. No matter what we do, it just kind of happens that way. I only hope that everyone will be settled into their schedules enough by now that we can truly enjoy this period of activity.

It seems to me there was a huge influx of newbies when I left... maybe it's my fault...
or maybe I was away for too long. I have a valid excuse, honest! (hehe)

I might be able to redo some of the graphics, I'll just need to have access to certain parts of Cythera

Graphics are more or less my life, I'm pretty sure I can 'remodel' parts of Cythera but I need Selax's help for parts

I think that Bryce is better qualified to help you with such a project, but which parts are you referring to?

I've not yet been able to open Magpie's pumpkin patch, although I can't say that I recall trying very hard. I think that I've tried at least once...maybe, I should try again.
