For people who have been around when Slayer was you may remember a simaler topic that involves a fur cloak and Eionous, but this one involves a Odemia Guard and a crystal ball. I stepped on it and I got teleported to this place with mismatched tiles, now for the wierd part, There was a guard that had the name Nothing, but no graphic, when I started walking to the right it got darker and darker until I couldn't see and the place kept reapeating itself.

I also killed that same guard another time and he turned into a yellow flying bird that didn't move I have some screen shots my Classic can't burn disks :P

Could someone explain what this UFO was and why my place was differant from that fur coat place?
And how does this glitch(?) happens?

Do you have the ability to transfer files via floppies between your computers? I kinda like to see these screen shots..

That's very curious. It sounds like it's another chapter in the-odd-things-that-people-turn-into-when-you-kill-them-in-Cythera annals...

I haven't actually encountered any those, so I don't think that I can answer your question, save to say that it might be a different bug or a different form of the same one.

I have a feeling Glenn never really cleaned up Cythera, and there are lots of leftover template maps with strange things in them that can be reached when a bug is activated causing something to turn into a portal. And the portal, likely, is attached to an ID of the area it goes to, which could be completely random in the case of the bug.

Wild speculation.

The screenshots of the missmatch area (We should really come up with a name for this place!)
are the same as the one from the Fur cloak portal one, And floppy disks? Unfortantatly no. I guess were just going to have to wait untill someone else finds it.

Hmmmm...try uploading it to a image hosting site or if you have a second computer connect and transfer.

The glitch occurs when a person (usually a guard, ruffian, or sleeping person) is killed in one hit. Sometimes the dead body turns into something else, both in graphic and in stats (i.e., what it does and what it really is). Sometimes the stat thing is a portal.

The really weird thing is that all the weird places everyone's found never seem to be found again. I've found about 15 of these when constantly trying, restarting, trying again, and 11 of them only took me to ordinary places (LKH, Odemia, Iron Mine, etc.). The rest went to weird places, but none of them were the same as any others. I got Map, but with a different setting and different people there, another Map, but this one was entirely white, Omen Map with the Omen guard and another guard, and one that was entirely blank, all white with no name. The last one actually caused Cythera to quit, so I never saw what Omen's special map showed about it.

I'll have to get around to trying this glitch sometime.

I had a glitch where I died, but insted of going to land king hall, my screen just went black...I had to forcequit. That may not have been the game though, so much as my bad computer.

Is there any word on Cythra updates by the way?
