I'm stuck between them all, Aethon is used to get bombs from the RCG (RatCatchers Guild) Cool I made up an abreviation! :P Anyways Meleager is used to estmate time, Timon's healing spelles come really in handy, and improve the long sword and give it to Hecter and you got yourself Alerics head ;)

Also this isn't a poll because I don't think it's fair to make people pick one person.

Pfft, they're all useless. Ditch them and be a loner. :P
I feel Meleager is the best of a bad bunch. He at least doesn't run around like a headless chook when something attacks you.

That only happens if you set their script to run away.

For me, it's a close call between Hector, Aethon, and Timon. Timon and Aethon are the only ones I keep, because things tend to attack those two and ignore me. Therefore I can have low health and really good weapons, walk up to the thing attacking Aethon and Timon, attack a couple times, and get ignored each time.

However, Hector is a really good fighter and really helped me in the early stages of the game. While I got stronger and no longer needed him, he was a big help in the begining

Meleager is ruled out. He teaches really handy Awareness but other than that he's pretty useless.

Have you tried putting the gauntlets on him?

Personally, I can't quite decide between Meleager or Hector, but Meleager with the gauntlets is probably best. Awareness certainly makes him very useful.

Aethon's my favourite, because he's cool ^_~ I usually give him some cool stuff like gator boots, mystic armour, Omen's ring, and the fur cloak ^_^

Omen's ring doesn't really help anyone but you. I mean, Timon's the only one with magic and as long as you're healthy you can revive everyone else. And gator boots don't help anyone either because party members follow you. If you're at a swamp, you either waiste magic/a potion, get poisoned and waiste magic/a potion to heal yourself, or sit around waiting for Aethon to go where you want when you know he never will. Same with fire. Mystic armor and the fur cloak, however, can be fitted to anyone, though indeed your character should have them.

My followers are much more likely to die than I am, so I give them the cool stuff. Except the sword, I really like the sword ^_^ Omen's ring will slowly heal whomever is wearing it. And the gator boots will protect their wearer too. I'll take a little swamp poisoning and feet-burns for Aethon ^_^

But if you make the others wait and walk over the swamp nobody gets hurt!

They won't dissappear. As long as you don't tell them to leave, they'll follow you into a portal if you wait long enough and they're always where they are.

um thats a hard one, i'd say i'm the best out of them all. aethon: he's good with missiles but he's annoying and he dosen't fight well with the long sword. (which is my fave weapon)
timon: he's usefull with his magic but dies in the ruffian encampment unless i use a strategy.( i'll tell you about later).
hector: good with all weapons but has no good defence against a deamon.
meleager: great for teaching you stuff but annoying with aethon and dosen't really join in on some fights.
any more brave souls i'm looking for a champion.

In all fairness, it only makes sense to put the necklace on yourself. If he dies while you're wearing it, you can revive him, but if you die while he's wearing it, it is, as they say, "Game over, man, game over" and you die, not knowing the fate of Alaric.

This is off the subject, but Pallas Athene, I would have thought you'd have an owl as your avatar.
Back on: And if you don't have revive, you don't want to waste the amulet on him and he dies, just stick his corpse in your desk drawer and carry on as usual. :P
