Hmm, looks interesting, cgends; I shall have to try it...

Getting back on topic, how about everyone share their "favorite Cythera moment," if they wish to or have one?

One time I saw a pile of meat (leftover on the ground from titanhunting) snoring. I was so amused that I snapped a picture, printed it out, and tacked it above my bed. It's still there ^_^
I'll become even more undignified than this

I accidently killed Hector with the sword of heroes. :P

I stuck a dead wolflizard in Cademia, Nexus'd to LKH, slept in my bed til midnight, then walked back down to the wolflizard. I saw it shout "Argh!". Beats me why I tried it. And I didn't know how to take screenshots at the time, so sorry I can't show you.

I want to see your pic, BWM!

Probably the fact that every single one of my party member's first words were, "Got anything to eat?" This never happened with any of my other characters, but it did in my first one.

To be honest, I can't really recall (at least not immediately) a favorite moment for myself, although I do recall it being fun to use some kind of bug to mess up the city of Cademia and then attacking the people...

favorite moment: beating my first demon, in the ruined city, and recovering the sapphire book. W/O magic....ooo yeah. those 1point hits with magic weapons take a long time.

I find the best way to fight daemons is to equip myself with the Sword of Heroes, Meleagar with the gauntlets, and use one obsidian upgrade on Hector and Aethon's swords, equipping all the party with strange helmets.

Is it ok to use the strange helmet? I feel weird using the helmet of an arc-enemy-dstroying-the-existance-of-a-peacful-people thing (a suprisingly common theme in action stories). Isin't it wrong to use it. I would feel like wearing the pants I pulled off a meth user (methampethimanes[sic], a highly addictive drug sweeping the world, very bad in the US and Europe).

I cant get to the sword of heros. it is blocked, I can see it in cave, but I cannot find a passage to it! It has frustrated me for months. Anyhow, so no sword for me. and the staff of light will have to do (who knew rotting romms could be so profitable?).

To be honest, I most enjoyed going through the game to figure out the underlying representations (mainly as it pertains to dialogue): that is, why the Dodonas talk about Parium when you ask them about Paris; why they appear to be incestuous; the fact that multiple inheritance of a type is used (durnitall, Gandreas!).

I suppose, to a more *normal* person, you could simplify what I enjoy to the act of talking to people. There are surprisingly few games I know where you can just type a word into a text box to ask someone about it.

By the way, for the RTS crowd, I'm up for a game of StarCraft anytime*

Sure, but to get all those weapons you have to be pretty well off in the game. That book was the fourth book I got, and before I had the Sword of Heroes, the gauntlets, Aethon, any strange helmets, and I didn't even know what obsidian was back then. In fact, I was playing demo and only knew Death Strike from a scroll (learned scroll, that is).

Indeed, I'd say you probably need to have played the game before to know about those things; if you have, it is fairly easy to obtain them.

cgends, the sword isn't too hard to get. Directly above the chamber behind which is hidden the sword, you should find a room (I think it might be the kitchen). Explore all the corners, move crates, or whatever it takes, but you should find a lever. Flip it and the path to your very own Sword of Heroes is opened! :P

It's really a pity that that weapon can no longer be duplicated.

It would be so cool if it still could. What happens if you try and duplicate it?

Not even if you "stick" it?

No, it said the spell was too weak to replicate it when I tried.
