I've got the 1st and 3rd pieces of the crolna, so I went down to the grotto in kosha to get the 4th. Pelagon/Magpie started the bad guy monologuing then all of a sudden the black screen came up and told me that I died. How the hell did that happen? Can I get the 4th crolna piece without the 2nd one?

I think that you have to have all the other pieces of the Crolna before you can get the one from Pelagon. (I think he might state something about that if he realizes that you are missing pieces; something about killing you and taking what pieces you have.)

The end of the "bad guy monologue" caught me out the first time. Pelagon/Magpie is devious.
And the winner of the text only entry goes to CrazyChick for "Watch for B&B on bridge." Encountering the B&B anywhere is dangerous enough. Throwing a bridge into the recipe is an equation for disaster. - Ragashingo

I knew I knew I would never be able to get the second piece, (I've tried killing Timon many times though.) but I was at last hoping for the 4th. :P

Nope, but you can get Charax to talk to you, on an unrelated note, if you want something to do.
