(1) Your Karma was set to that number, you did not accumulate it by the moderator award system. You are a mod, anyway, so sorry... but I don't put mods in the chart.
(2) Some cruel feind set your post count to a negitive number. It is just now working it's way back into positive territory.

So sorry, mr. forge, but I'm afraid I can't accept those results Posted Image
No hard feelings, right?

Hmm, I'm here. No idea why. I'll be off now back to the EV boards... see you all again never.

Now THAT is a bad idea.

It's a okay idea, given that moderators (And others that can give out Karma) would not be elegible. Or, perhaps, they would get their own discounts, or somthing.

The posibility for cheating is not high with the system.

It was an idea used to illustrate my point.

I'm thinking about the people who would start spamming for karma more frequently.

Start a strict Asking-means-banning policy.

People who are fishing for karma, but are smart enough to not ask directly, tend to be very helpful, not respond to flames, and do most of the things in the guidelines. Generaly, they tend to try to be upright citizens, and hang out on boards with low mod to member ratios.

They also tend to migrate here form the EV boards, I've seen a number just show up here after the Obsidian thing. I personaly don't think this is really bad, since we're only getting members that are tring their hardest to please, so to speak. Besisdes, we need the membership.

In theory, if the entire EVN board population moved over here in a massive karma-rush, then we would lose our mod-member ratio and we would have the same problem as the EVN board.
But three of four imigrants aren't going to hurt anything, and are in fact benificial. [sp?]

In the end, it wouldn't be so bad if people cared about karma, just as long as they were no stupid enough to ask.

You know, frankly the only karma I feel like giving out right now is negative karma to you for bringing this "more karma" and "more members" are needed stuff up again. We were just fine before, we've pulled through hard times with as low as 1-3 members for months, and that was well before karma was invented. As long as people keep their spirit of adventure, we'll do fine.

We don't necessarily need more members, but if they come here (not for any reason relating to karma) then that's ok. They can stay and help the community.

Surgeon general's warning: Revival of anything relating to karma on the Cythera boards will be subject to being slapped appropriately, some of us are getting tired of this argument.

Thinking about it, I see this topic is now useless as well. If you'd like to talk to other people privately about karma, feel free to e-mail each other, some of you have your e-mail visible.
