How do pokeballs work? Its been really bothering me lately. I mean, one second their living breathing creatures with definate mass and volume, and the next their like clouds of red light with a totally indefinate matter measurement. And how do they eat and stuff when their in their balls? It all seems so non-ergomatic. My hypothesis is that when their in their balls, they have been converted from organisms to data, and therefore no longer exist in the physical world. In that case, the pokeball would act as a kind of converter, that would change theoretical matter into solid matter. but even in their creature form, they likely still retain certain aspects of their data form, transmitters prehaps, otherwise the pokedex wouldnt be able to identify them. And likewise in their data form they would have to still have traces of their physical form, otherwise they wouldnt be able to wiggle their way out of the pokeball when they arent weak enough to catch. Or I could be wrong all together and all pokemon are actually different programs that are inputted into this false reality called the Pokemon World and Ash is actually living in a dream world he believes to be reality. What are yall's thoughts on this?

I think that Poké Balls are different on the inside than they seem-there's an alternate universe in there or something. I was never much into Pokémon but I recall hearing something like that.

I really just want to say something sarcastic that won't actually add to the conversation.

I would say because it's "mainstream" anime and has to make the least amount of sense possible. :P

I would like to take this opportunity to insert a "mainstream" before "anime" in your statement.

Yes, thank you.

James, you can call off the hit on target 95732-A.

So I sees "Serious Question" on the main forum page, and I thinks to meself, "Oh, is there a post to something other than ATT?" Apparently not.

So I sees that Pallas has risen from the grave and has posted once again on the ATT. I wonder to myself if the great sage has brought us back some wisdom from the other side, perhaps even the ultimate meaning of life! It wouldn't appear to be so. :P

Yes, but it did put me closer to the "4000 post" mark - which stands 11 posts away, 10 actually, if my 4000th post is my topic about having 4000 posts.

And technically, I have 4800 - stupid board conversion :P

Powerful insight. Many will follow your teachings for centuries after your demise.
