count or be counted are you a mass murderer?

i want you to try to estimate the number of kills you have over every game you have ever played! From every last ranger and rifleman from Red Alert to the crew of 100 on that ida frigate to the boss from Perfect Dark! give it a go and see how many you have killed!
And because the above is clearly impossible, here is an easier one: try to count how many Artificial Lives you end in the next week and then post your score here; Now Go to it you Homicidal Maniacs!

And no, the previous is not impossible, it simply requires some twisting of wormholes through not only space but time.

Probably not a million. If ever kill took one second that would be 278 hours. So considering every kill in ev takes between 5 and 30 seconds I don't think that is plausible. Even if you could fps that still takes between 3 and 5 seconds to hunt and kill your target. That means were looking at almost a thousand hours of straight killing people or about 42 straight days of death. I don't know how old you are, but it would take a while to do that. I suppose if you play constantly, fps's, an hour or two a night you might be able to kill a million people in two to three years. However, I know very few kids like that. Then again, I have seen some one get about 120 kills in three and half ours of halo. So it could be possible. Especially if your a college kid who only plays halo or halo 2.(at my friends pace it still would have taken him 29166 hours.)

I know I've logged over 30,000 frags in the Unreal incarnations - I kept the logfiles until my hard drive died.
And I've been gaming for many years, over eight, so its highly possible that my estimate was low.

Same here, but probably more like 10,000. I'm a monster at that game.
I've also indulged in Quake, Unreal, CS, and plenty of other shooters. Beware.

Well then perhaps. I'm not saying my numbers are perfect and I did say that if you played long enough it is a definite possilbity.

Definitely not possible. Although mass suicides would help. I heard somewhere. To write out all the numbers to one billion it would take you in excess of 9300 years. By the way, in the guiness book of world records a guy typed all the numbers to one million...it took him in the area of 15 years I believe. (By the way a billion seconds is around 32 years of your life).

100,000,000 is quite a bit if you count each unit as one kill. Then again, if you count a city on Civilization * as containing whatever that population is and you nuke it...dunno, I wouldn't count those people - its not a real kill.

the way i see it so long as they would have happily lived out there simulated lives without your inteference it's still a kill. I wonder how many people i could be considered to have killed in sim city...

Tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of Voinians, Renegades, Confeds, Pirates... and that's just EV.
I don't want to get into Starcraft, with all the bc/carrier fleets (how many crew?) newbs have sent against me... and lost. That, and all those annoying * Defense games have you slaughtering left and right. That, and the buildings have lots of crew too.
Its like what happens when you cross a phoenix with a super black hole; it's powerful enough to destroy itself, only to be reborn in a vicious cycle of torment and pain. Or in this case, nonsense.
