How many kills do you have? how many frags? how many points?
i want you to try to estimate the number of kills you have over every game you have ever played! From every last ranger and rifleman from Red Alert to the crew of 100 on that ida frigate to the boss from Perfect Dark! give it a go and see how many you have killed!

And because the above is clearly impossible, here is an easier one: try to count how many Artificial Lives you end in the next week and then post your score here; Now Go to it you Homicidal Maniacs!
Wow, you read a post by Ankhwatcher you must be so proud.

I've ended seventy-three.

And no, the previous is not impossible, it simply requires some twisting of wormholes through not only space but time.

Hundreds of thousands...... If you count all the crew members from EVx, which I've been playing for years and years.

Given all the RTS games and FPS games I've played over the years, probably over a million.

Counting this week won't be fair, my comp gets shipped to apple for repairs tomorrow.

Probably not a million. If ever kill took one second that would be 278 hours. So considering every kill in ev takes between 5 and 30 seconds I don't think that is plausible. Even if you could fps that still takes between 3 and 5 seconds to hunt and kill your target. That means were looking at almost a thousand hours of straight killing people or about 42 straight days of death. I don't know how old you are, but it would take a while to do that. I suppose if you play constantly, fps's, an hour or two a night you might be able to kill a million people in two to three years. However, I know very few kids like that. Then again, I have seen some one get about 120 kills in three and half ours of halo. So it could be possible. Especially if your a college kid who only plays halo or halo 2.(at my friends pace it still would have taken him 29166 hours.)

I had over 2,500,000 kills on my first Nova pilot - in a scarab. Then there was Alpha Centuari when I nuked every enemy city on the planet in one turn... Civ II when I took over with brute force...

Does killing alien species count?

Its very easy to kill lots of units rapidly when playing games like warcraft and starcraft (especially firebats vs zerglings).

I know I've logged over 30,000 frags in the Unreal incarnations - I kept the logfiles until my hard drive died.

And I've been gaming for many years, over eight, so its highly possible that my estimate was low.

I'd be surprised if I didn't beat ten million between all my pilots in EVO and Nova. I've also done the target practice levels in Postal (a terrible game where you walk around and shoot, stab, axe, blow up, and otherwise kill and maim random unarmed people, en masse, on the street during parades and other public events) which probably accounted for a few 10's of thousands dead (also the only game I've ever sealed up and never played again).

I'm in the ultimate combat rating in EVx as well.

Same here, but probably more like 10,000. I'm a monster at that game.

I've also indulged in Quake, Unreal, CS, and plenty of other shooters. Beware.

I'll just go ahead and say a billion in total. All those years of starcraft, alpha centauri, EV (and plugins, where crew goes over 5000 or so), Ares, EV: Override, EV: Nova, Red Alert, Tiberian Dawn, Empire Earth, Warcraft I, II and III, World of Warcraft, Unreal Tournament, UT 2004, Quakes II and III, Marathon, Lode Runner (;)), Super Mario... the list is nearly endless.

It appears I'm the Reaper of the digital world. :P Never thought of it that way before.

Given the number of times I typed '-mass suicide' when I was beta testing Chaos Theory for WC3...

:grins sadistically:

Must be in the millions at least.

Well then perhaps. I'm not saying my numbers are perfect and I did say that if you played long enough it is a definite possilbity.

Definitely not possible. Although mass suicides would help. I heard somewhere. To write out all the numbers to one billion it would take you in excess of 9300 years. By the way, in the guiness book of world records a guy typed all the numbers to one million...it took him in the area of 15 years I believe. (By the way a billion seconds is around 32 years of your life).

Keep going... :P

100,000,000 is quite a bit if you count each unit as one kill. Then again, if you count a city on Civilization * as containing whatever that population is and you nuke it...dunno, I wouldn't count those people - its not a real kill.

Well, when I got the EV Cheater plug, changed it to make my Takeitover Cheat Package, and took over Earth, being there are over 3,000 Confed Frigates with a high crew, that would be quite a lot for me. I'll get some actual numbers later.

I don't want to count.

Tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of Voinians, Renegades, Confeds, Pirates... and that's just EV.

I don't want to get into Starcraft, with all the bc/carrier fleets (how many crew?) newbs have sent against me... and lost. That, and all those annoying * Defense games have you slaughtering left and right. That, and the buildings have lots of crew too.
You put what in my Power Mac?
