I think it might be worth noting that on the B&B after the recent influx of spam-happy new members, things only got better when people stopped getting worked up about them ruining our board and actually started concentrating on posting interesting topics/meaningful replies themselves. The newbies eventually got less irritating when we all stopped blaming them. All was (relatively) happy in B&B land again.

If your board sucks, then it's your own damn fault. Stop whinging and making crappy one line posts and you'll all have tons of fun.

Pray tell, exactly how have Agent_Vast, myself, and DE brought the quality of ATT down? If you have ideas, you can PM us, or e-mail us, or write a topic about it, instead of simply complaining. And as far as I've seen, the quality went downhill before I got here.

I would just like to point out the fact that I am not new on ATT. My first post here was:

It's real, and made almost a year and a half ago.

I just went under some self-imposed exile. That, or I forgot to come here and I was busy with B&B.

I've been here for a while, so it was not me who "put it down the tube". I don't think it was Agent_Vast or Mackilroy either. They capable of posts with quality. I really don't see a problem with much of the posts on here all together. Maybe it has gone down a bit, but it's nothing major. And if we have to, we can bring it back up. We just need some good suggestions.

If you ask me, if anything, it's topics like this that are bringing ATT down the tube.

Thrashbarg made a good point. We just need to concentrate on the topics.

I mean, replies like "I only have one thing to say about this: Applesause" are dumb. If you try too hard to be funny and random, you are neither funny nor random.

It goes like this: If you have something clever or of substance to say, then say it. Otherwise, shut your trap.

Personally, I think the decline is not due to specific members but to the fact that ATT isn't the community it used to be. There used to be only ~10 people who regularly posted; we all knew each other for the most part. Then a flood of new people came, and now I hardly recognize many of the people who post here. It's just not the same.

It's all fun and games until a rampaging mod destroys half your account.
