It's freezing cold right now.

Hey, the day after tomorrow I'm going to New Zealand for two and a half months to work on the beach and live with some Maoris in the Bay of Islands. How cool is that?

Is the entire purpose of this topic to mention to as many people as possible that you're going to New Zealand?

You beach bum. Gloating beach bum at that...

Meh, stop complaining...we have 3+ feet of snow...I guess that would be roughly one metre so you don't to have to do any conversions...arn't I awesome that way...But you have to remember that be live in a desert-y area so its usually pretty dry. Apparently this is the biggest storm we've had since 1911.

I would like snow. We just get really cold drizzle...

So anyway, to add to the topic of conversation (which is me), something else happened just now.

There's this girl who's so so so hot. And she's been going out with one of my best friends.

And then she said my name when they were pulling, like 2 weeks ago, and now she's just broken up with him. Maybe cause of a coupla things we did together like in the last two months, but maybe not.

And now I'm going to New Zealand! ARGH!

Yeah I did. At the time I gloated, now I feel simultaneously terrible and great.

But not the bit about New Zealand. And the break-up.

Yes! I'm going to New Zealand!

I'm so glad someone has asked me about it, I've been dying to tell everyone but I felt too rude to just mention it without a cue...

...oh wait :P.

My neighbor across the street has lived here all her life; she says there was more in 1952. But I'm being picky.

No. I'm not. I have heard from at least three reliable sorces that this has been the biggest strom since 1911.

Damn you, it takes a 12 feet of snow, the power out, icy roads, all teachers not being able to get there, a flip of a coin, and a rabid yeti to keep us out of school.

My school is a wimp ever since three teachers totaled their cars last year.

I think it fairly likely that the public schools around here would close down on the basis of having read the words "snow" and "icy roads" in the same sentence within your post. The University, on the other hand, will only begin thinking about calling a two-hour delay if none of the mountain climbers on staff can make it into the emergency roof exits on top of the eight-story tall Stacks at Zimmerman Library due to the depth of the snow.

We get snow and icy roads a lot yet we never shut down.
