Indeed, they even decided to release it with half the campaign.

I like RPGs more. I play for stories, mostly. Otherwise I like newer shootemups if I play FPSs like Serious Sam, and Unreal Tournament (sometimes. I like the original the most).

I've never gotten much into Halo, or any other FPS for that matter.

The original was the best! Still is worth playing, too bad Classic doesn't like certain animations for whatever reason.

I won a competition and had Unreal about a month before the release date. Unfortunately my computer couldn't play it.

I don't really like FPSs that much, except for one,
I don't know if anyone has heard of it:

WORMS 3D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a dumb game, but suprisingly addictive and fun.
I have returned.

I liked Worms Armageddon over Worms 3D.

Now that's not fair. They may have only released it with half the campaign, but they allowed you the joy of playing through it all twice to win!

Maaaybe... I'd have to play through goldeneye all the way... Multiplayer was awesome though.

Halo 2 does not surprise me at all. It's a good game. That's it - a game that is good.

"OMG I AM GOING TO QUIT MY JOB AND DUMP MY GIRLFRINED AND MOVE WHEN HALO 2 COMES OUT OMG MY LIEF IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT IT"

Personally, I liked the campaign of the first one better - the story could have been a little more substantial, but it was original. The flood were scary, the covenant made funny noises when you shot them and plasma grenades were shiny and metallic when they were on the ground. Also, the way they purposely wedged in the action from the trailer they released in Fall of '03 was a little cheesy. "Me and the bomb won't miss."

Now, given that, I haven't played multiplayer yet. Halo 2 could rock the socks off of Halo; I don't know. It appears that there is 4 player co-op, which is pretty cool, and multiplayer will probably be the game's main selling point. I hear, though, that the plotline ends in a rather anti-climactic fashion, so, co-op may just be good practice for normal multiplayer anyway.

When a game can envelop you in its universe and then blow your mind away, that is awesome. Halo 2, it's a good game.

As above, they intend to release more of the campaign at a future time.

Having just returned from a Halo 2 party (16 way multiplayer), I can honestly say I'm not impressed. Halo was just so much better. I'd rate the game an A-, which isn't bad, but if you compare it to the original, Halo 2 gets a C-. How you see the weapon that you're holding is just awful. A lot of the good things from the original got totally wrecked in this one. Like Cortana. I never liked the way Cortana looked in the old one, but I guess it's just one of the "you don't know what you had until it was gone" things because the new Cortana looks god awful. the new vehicles were cool, boarding vehicles was cool, being able to get into the gunner seat of an enemy-held warthog was cool (and really usefull in a 16-way FFA), but it was just like they tried so hard on all of the new stuff, that they just ignored a bunch of the other stuff. It was a shoddy job, and I can only hope Halo 3 (which is coming, that ending just screams it, even if they do give you more campain, they won't give you that much)

I know you all disagree with me, so I'll just give a few quick examples, then go hide from the rampaging mob that will soon be coming to rend me limb from limb.
1) Needler pistol whip. Remeber in halo, how you slammed the needler spikes into the face of the guy when you hit him? Well now you just smack him with the bottom of the gun, that's it. It's so lame.
2) Ghost. Why did we feel the need to remove a good chunk of the forward protection a ghost lends you? You take way more damage when the front of your ghost gets shot, and it sucks.
3) Multiplayer Banshee. THEY TOOK AWAY THE FUEL-ROD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4)Rocket Launcher now seeks. Yeah, because now the RL won't be an even bigger noob weapon. Thanks bungie, you just ruined multiplayer, because now, any fecking retard can go grab a rocket launcher, and kill someone with a seeking shot. Rockets, by definition, cannot be guided.
5)Why do you think I would want to play any part of the campain as an Elite? Elite's suck. They're just a bunch of losers, good for nothing but target practice. Now why would I want to play as that?

BTW, the fiesta game type is really cool on a tiny map, I suggest you and 15 other people get together, and play a game of Fiesta-Oddball, on the map I think is called Midships. Or, if that map isn't the one I'm thinking of, then just do it on any small map.
Pissing off the whole planet. One person at a time.

I just played some 8-way Halo 2. It didn't impress me as some God of Games. I liked dual weapons though, that was fun. Also, the vehicles are cool.

Didn't take long at all to beat it. Kind of sucks, it's like a more spazzy, less realistic version of it's former self.

Just got done with four hours of 16 player multiplayer. Its annoying that the screen positions are determined by join order, and as someone mentioned, melee-ing simply involves the butt of weapons - which looks stupid. I also hate the individual player icons, makes it really confusing figuring out who is on what team in a big CTF map.

Mixed feelings about blowing up vehicles, though I sort of think hammering away at a tank's armor with a laser sword is pretty neat. Also like the dual weapons, those are handy.

I didn't get to play oddball though. But, I really liked playing territories. That game type reminds me very much of Domination from the original UT, and was my favorite game type ever. Its fun, especially when you have four-six teams.

It was ok, but I was sorta dissapointed. I much rather prefer LOTR, HP and Fable...heh..
