The original was the best! Still is worth playing, too bad Classic doesn't like certain animations for whatever reason.

Now that's not fair. They may have only released it with half the campaign, but they allowed you the joy of playing through it all twice to win!

Maaaybe... I'd have to play through goldeneye all the way... Multiplayer was awesome though.
Halo 2 does not surprise me at all. It's a good game. That's it - a game that is good.
"OMG I AM GOING TO QUIT MY JOB AND DUMP MY GIRLFRINED AND MOVE WHEN HALO 2 COMES OUT OMG MY LIEF IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT IT"
Personally, I liked the campaign of the first one better - the story could have been a little more substantial, but it was original. The flood were scary, the covenant made funny noises when you shot them and plasma grenades were shiny and metallic when they were on the ground. Also, the way they purposely wedged in the action from the trailer they released in Fall of '03 was a little cheesy. "Me and the bomb won't miss."
Now, given that, I haven't played multiplayer yet. Halo 2 could rock the socks off of Halo; I don't know. It appears that there is 4 player co-op, which is pretty cool, and multiplayer will probably be the game's main selling point. I hear, though, that the plotline ends in a rather anti-climactic fashion, so, co-op may just be good practice for normal multiplayer anyway.
When a game can envelop you in its universe and then blow your mind away, that is awesome. Halo 2, it's a good game.

As above, they intend to release more of the campaign at a future time.

I know you all disagree with me, so I'll just give a few quick examples, then go hide from the rampaging mob that will soon be coming to rend me limb from limb.
1) Needler pistol whip. Remeber in halo, how you slammed the needler spikes into the face of the guy when you hit him? Well now you just smack him with the bottom of the gun, that's it. It's so lame.
2) Ghost. Why did we feel the need to remove a good chunk of the forward protection a ghost lends you? You take way more damage when the front of your ghost gets shot, and it sucks.
3) Multiplayer Banshee. THEY TOOK AWAY THE FUEL-ROD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4)Rocket Launcher now seeks. Yeah, because now the RL won't be an even bigger noob weapon. Thanks bungie, you just ruined multiplayer, because now, any fecking retard can go grab a rocket launcher, and kill someone with a seeking shot. Rockets, by definition, cannot be guided.
5)Why do you think I would want to play any part of the campain as an Elite? Elite's suck. They're just a bunch of losers, good for nothing but target practice. Now why would I want to play as that?
BTW, the fiesta game type is really cool on a tiny map, I suggest you and 15 other people get together, and play a game of Fiesta-Oddball, on the map I think is called Midships. Or, if that map isn't the one I'm thinking of, then just do it on any small map.

Mixed feelings about blowing up vehicles, though I sort of think hammering away at a tank's armor with a laser sword is pretty neat. Also like the dual weapons, those are handy.
I didn't get to play oddball though. But, I really liked playing territories. That game type reminds me very much of Domination from the original UT, and was my favorite game type ever. Its fun, especially when you have four-six teams.
