Raiders V.S Pirates Very serious

Poll: The Little man who is the "Raider's" logo...what does he look more like? A RAIDER or a PIRATE? (10 member(s) have cast votes)

The Little man who is the "Raider's" logo...what does he look more like? A RAIDER or a PIRATE?

  1. Pirate-Duh-Pirates are cool. When people see the Raider's logo they say he looks like a pirate. Not "Ooh, look at the RAIDER" No. It's a Pirate, even though the team's name is the Raiders. It's still a pirate. (6 votes [60.00%])

Honestly. Pirates are much cooler than RAIDERS...and yes raider sounds a little more intimidating..but I still say the little man is a pirate. You don't see a patch over an eye and think RAIDER you think PIRATE.

Is this about real raiders and pirates or some kind of stupid sports team?

I'll assume by Pirates you mean Buccaneers. The Raiders, while a mediocre team, are far superior to the Bucs. The Raiders could be half decent if Collins could keep control of the ball, whereas the Bucs don't really have a quarterback. The Bucs D isn't what it used to be either.

I don't even know why anyone would care about those teams anyway, they both will have losing seasons. If you want to talk about something real, talk about why the Eagles are the best team in the NFC, and make a strong case for best team in the NFL.

Trah, you're way, way off. This is clearly a question about whether football or baseball is the better sport. A question to which the answer is clearly baseball and the Pirates.

I'd argue pillaging beats any other sport, so I'd have to go raiders.

Unless of course you mean football. :P

The MLB Pirates are terrible! They have a mediocre starting rotation, a mediocre bull pen, and a sub-par offense, I mean, Kendall is their best player.

While the Pirates did suck it up this past season and I couldn't care less about the team, baseball in general is far superior to football.

I've always been a bigger football fan. I'm a huge Eagles fan; they control my happiness for the week. Luckily, they are 5-0 this year, so I've been fairly happy. '98 was rough... 3-13... let alone the weeks after the 3 NFC championship games...

I'm more of a baseball (go D-Backs!) and auto racing man myself. I'll watch the Superbowl each year, but that is usually the extent of my interest in football.

Apples and oranges. I doubt most of the people on the Pirates would be able to put together a decent pass protection offense and I doubt most of the folks on the Raiders would be able to properly play baseball.

I don't think any NFL team barring the Ravens and Dolphins (they both suck the big one when it goes to the passing game) could put together a pass protection offense:P

Which is why I play ice hockey and not football. Much simpler positions and strategy, much more physically demanding.

The true test of any fan is if they will stay with their team after a season where one ended up 42 games out of first and still be able to type "Go D-Backs!" on a webboard somewhere on the net.
