I would qualify Evanescence and the Perfect Circle to be new age rock, which is most of the time refered to punk. :P

Unfortunately though, noone who has Kiss From a Rose as their top played song can be a punk rocker. Its a rule. SA, your vote on the lyrics question?

True, although Kiss is #1, and that song is the Anti-Punk-Rock...

Evanescence is most assuredly not punk. I don't know about A Perfect Circle. I've never heard them.

They're not either. Generally, both groups can be classified as Alternative Rock (as opposed to Adult Alternative, which aren't the same thing).

It's definitely grey. And you're right, it is a brilliant song.

A Perfect Circle is indeed considered Rock-Alternative, in fact, it's fairly characteristic of the genre, as much as any band can characterise the Alternative genre. And as for Evanescence... well, let's just say that any band with vocals like Amy Lee's is not punk.

If Punk-Rock is your average high-schooler, chafing at the bit and full of rage and angst, Rock-Alternative is its big sibling at college, a little more cynical, a little more world-weary, a little more focused in its pessimism.

Yep, he's moved from senseless destruction and suicide to bitching about the state of things and anti-establishment politics.

Isn't the whole point of a duel to break something. You know, like your opponents bones, or a chair over someones head, or your opponents spirit.

Not at all. Duels were about satisfying your honour, not killing someone. The only reason so many people used to die from them was because they were using lethal weapons and medical science was... well, not really a science back then.

"Oooh, would you look at that Jim, he's bleeding!"
"Oooh, yes he is Tom, yes he is."
"Indeed Jim, he seems to be bleeding alot!"
"Indeed Tom, yes he does."
"Shall we stick leeches on him Jim?"
"Wouldn't that just cause him to loose more blood, Tom?"
"Nothing ventured nothing gained, as me pappy used to say, Jim!"
"Quite right, Tom!"
