What is wrong with you? AvP(as you have so eloquently termed it) is a really stupid idea for a movie, game, whatever.
I think about movies like that, and sigh at how far society has fallen. Modern entertainment is nothing but a load of crappy special effects, a sorry excuse for a plot, and a whole lot of bad acting.

As a mindlessly violent film that accomplishes nothing, it will probably be pretty good. Will I go see it? Absolutely not under any circumstances. Will I get the DVD? Almost certainly not. Will I watch it when it makes it on to network television? Sure. On the institutions that this film is stealing from, the original Predator kicks ass, the second one was marginal at best, and I've never cared much for any of the Alien flicks.

I don't go for horror, sci-fi or no. I only saw the Aliens series very recently, and as I didn't have a girl clinging on my arm at the time, I was someone underwhelmed by the experience.

If that was directed specifically at me (and even if it wasn't), I can assure you that I have no personal vendettas against anyone on these boards, including you, and thus am not influenced by your, or anyone's, statement of support or fondness towards something in the expression of my opinion. In this case specifically, I'm not a movie kind of person, and there are very few movies that I will ever get excited about, much less decide to own (I have maybe a dozen movies in my collection and those are usually what I stick to watching) so my tastes in cinema are probably incompatible with most people's views although I will watch a film on network televison with commercial breaks, etc.

Omg! Mr. Ross, my AP Euro teacher, he was going nuts. He honestly spent half the class talking about that movie. Ugh, it was so annoying! But the movie might be good, but all he could talk about is how hot that one chick was/is. Pheh!

Along with almost every other movie made in that genre. 
Pretty sad actually. Most movies of that kind that I've seen seriously suck. But, I could give it a chance.

Get out of my head. I like it, its violent. It will give me something to think about for about 5 seconds. It was a comic book once, and that was alright. Sigh some people don't know good alien on alien action. Plus Predator had The Governatitor in it, and Alien had some crazy lady who died got ressurected and died again.
