do you people understand that a criminal can still get a gun easier on the street than in a gun store? Taking guns away just makes it all that harder for non criminals to defend themselves.

What does this have to do with paintball?
There are plenty of people that use guns for sports. And if we took guns away from civilians...it would put people out of work..hurt our economy...What about police?

That's ridiculous. The gun industry is a dead-end industry; its products do not have positive economic flow-ons (unless you count the security industry, the funeral industry and so forth as "positive"). The economy retools easily and rapidly; were the gun industry scaled back there would be virtually zero economic impact a few years down the track.
Besides. America isn't the US gun industry's main market; small warring third world nations are.

I agree with SA, but practically speaking it would be pretty hard to pull off. The constitution guarantees the right to bear arms, and I don't see how we could work around that.

You make an amendment to the constitution. Amendment 18 banned alcohol, amendment 21 nullified amendment 18 a few years later.
The only problem is that too many people enjoy having their guns, and they won't be likely to give them up. So, you'd probably have to start some kind of gun education or a gradual anti-gun program, and try passing the law in around a hundred years.

Doing that would require posession of guns ourselves, therefore forcing us to kill ourselves. The problem would not be solved because the end rate is to reduce murder rates, and we would also be dead, making it impossible for us to gain any of the benefits from our actions.
