Just a topic of discussion. What would you do if you were a homeless person? How would you survive? What would you do for food, drink, warmth, shelter?

I would most likely try to find a job best I could... chances are I'd never get one (People are very hesitant to hire homeless people). I might decide to go to a shelter, but in a shelter it's very much "their way or the highway". They make you take drugs without even telling you what they are sometimes, and if you don't like it you basically have to leave. For food I would probably try to buy the cheapest food possible with whatever money I could scrap up.

I'd find my dad and get money from him, much easier, or I would rob a bank!

Good question. To end up homeless, something pretty major would have to happen to me. A severe injury, perhaps psychological damage. Would I really be in a position to plan out what I was going to do about it?

I am assuming this means I am an adult who hasn't gone to college, but has a high school diploma. If so, I would get a job and save money for college. After that, I would get a better job and move on with normal life.

It's difficult to become homeless if you have a family and an education. Unless you do so purposefully.

If I were homeless, it would mean that my family was dead or had disowned me and I was too uneducated to get any sort of job. In that case, I probably would become a migrant worker and try to buy some land. Then I could get a stable education.

I'd probably take up residence in an abandoned apartment complex somewhere in the city (there are a surprising number of them) and use the lax "squatter's rights" laws in NM to take over the complex, rent the apartments out and make a moderate amount of money, all before any liens or bank-cases on/against the property are settled in court.

I'd become the moderator of a web board and pop up out of the woodwork to veer a topic out of childish spam and name-calling.
