Why do people say "rubbish bin" instead of "trash can"?

That's simple. Rubbish bin is the British term, Trash can the American. Different countries, different idioms.

Sherpas=whale?

Ha.

They are people you hire to carry stuff. When my dad was doing geology in the Himalayas, he was always hiring sherpas.

Sherpas are people who carry things. And they have powerful lungs.

I was away on vacation. I had access to the internet for awhile, but not for the past few days. Now I'm back until Sunday when I will leave again for 5 or so days.

One of my friends went to Nepal one time, and spent a few weeks flirting with her Sherpa. But then, she flirts with everyone, so I guess that's nothing special.

That was a good movie. To bad it was asociated with *shudder* Disney. Pixar will soon be free of evil corporations such as Disney and the Wintel World with the Powermac G5.

I wonder about what kinds of pie they have in Nepal, or even if they have the same concept of pie as we do (that is to say, if they have pie (to begin with) is it considered a dessert).
