Now that SJD is open again, I will once again be recieving rediculous amounts of email saying that someone has replied. Is there any way of taking this off?-

Have you tried editing the first post in the topic? Might be an option under there.

Just checked, there doesn't seem to be. Could be wrong though, but hopefully I'm right and we can just laugh at him in perpetuity.

I don't know is this is true here or not, but the e-mail you get saying someone has replied might have a link at the bottom saying something like, "click here to stop" or something simirlar.

Yet another good reason to post a lot in SJD.

A suggestion, Gandalf - some people don't go through email addresses like tissue paper. You see, they have large numbers of friends - real people who use that email to keep in touch with them.

Fascinating, no?

Does your email program have filters/rules?

If so, set up one to delete all emails containing the link to the post. I could help you do it if you don't know how. Posted Image

Just a thought.

Did or didn't, it doesn't matter. You think anybody pays attention to anything you say to start off with?

Of course, who could pass up an opportunity to put down GD?

No, you told him to "block the ****ing address", which would block all topic notifications. My idea was to apply a filter to just delete messages pertaining to that particular topic.

Admiral Dennis, I'd give you a karma point, but it would probably be a little superfluous. Good thinking, anyway.

Are you able to filter out messages based on the title? Do the emails about that topic have something unique in common? (like Post Reply: or whatever?)

Do you use OSX? Can you reroute your AOL email to a different email client that has a filter? (heck, even Mail has one)
