I rather doubt the majority of webboard posters are aqquainted with enough beers to make a real decision. Still, Steinlager is a worthy brand, which I believe is availible in high-class institutions world-wide.

Hmmm...

Ottakringer is the best local beer. I'd say Corona for best taste. Still, I like cider more... Posted Image

Its got to be Guinness!

(or maybe Lapin Kulta if no Guinness available, followed by I suppose Carlsberg (which you can't get in Finland by the way!)).

(Is this topic in any way related to the cheese topic...?)

And as far as cheeses go, Bris is my personal favourite.

Well, for drinking by itself (not mixed with anything else), Guinness is the best. At parties when there's no alchohol allowed, I mix coke and coffee to get something that looks like it and gives you the same buzz.

But for mixing with juice to make a Shandi Cocktail, Bud light.

American beer is like sex in a lifeboat. It's F***ing close to water.

I must ashamadley confess to the sin of Bearing False Witness.

My favourite cheese is, in fact, Camembert.

Eating camembert and bris cheese is more fun.

As for not being able to get Carlsberg in Finland, it must be a a plot by Finnish beer makers, or Alko OY (who are in fact er, the Finnish beer makers...). You'd think that with Danmark's proximity to Finland, and finns propensity for beer drinking, a few bottles might have floated over... Still, Finnish beer, Lapin kulta is good too.

Edam and Emmental (not forgetting Aura) are the best cheeses to eat with one's beer...

Well, we have a vote for Guinness...
But Coke and Coffee (yak!) as a Guinness substitute, er, I don't think so...
(Though if you eat a really nasty goat's cheese, or one of those very strong French cheeses with it, the recipe might work...)

Cheese. What did you think I was referring to? Fish scales?

Hmmm, fish scales could be a good enough guess I suppose. Though from the inclusion of "bris" in this topic at this time I had assumed that it was in fact an exotic cheese, and not fish scales or iron filings or that curious green bubbly stuff that Cantharians are always chewing. My question was an effort to determine what kind of cheese bris was...

Call me a closed-minded SOB, but I say Cheddar. I've tasted all the other cheeses and it feels like I'm chewing snot. I'll just stick with Aged Cheddar.
