I doubt there's much he can do. The prices are so high because there are only about two pipelines carrying gas here, owned by just a few companies, so they all boost the prices at once, and we can't do anything. It's something for the Supreme Court, and they haven't done anything yet, and I doubt they will, for a while. About all Bush could do would be to order the military to attack the companies...

Exactly. And most of the oil is getting exported out-of-state anyway, I'll see little difference in the local gas prices, even though ANWR drilling will have much more negative effect to people like myself, who actually live in Alaska, and to top it off, we don't even get any oil benefits. Bush doesn't give a damn about the people living here, he only sees Alaska as a resource for oil and military development.

I HATE dubya because he is a puppet for Big Oil, Big Coal, and the Religious Right-Wing, all of which are prime evil and the scourge of civilization.
Gore may have sucked, but dubya is a lot worse. Gore was smarter than the other candidates, but he was a pro-censorship, socialist commie bastard. Dubya was a censorship freak too, though. Nader is a total moron, but not as stupid as dubya. Harry Browne is a frigging anarchist. Come to think of it, all the candidates sucked royally.
