Imaginary/Realistic Dream Ship

If you could have your own personal dream ship, what would it be? I know many of us would go to the mega-super-duper-planetary-destroyer-battle-crusier type class, but be realistic. Sure, people can have crusiers and if you want that you can have it, but think REAL LIFE.
I'm writing a SciFi novel, so this is in my realm.
ANYWAY, mine would have to be a medium to small-sized ship. It has my living quarters, and is a long-range cargo hauler. Very small for a cargo transporter, it has two turret cannons on either side of its hull. In short, think Outrider from Shadows of the Empire.

Oh, and if you do put me in, call me William Darkk, not Fleet Admiral Darkk.

Mine would be, more realistically, an Elejeetian Cruiser, but I would always be dreaming of my very own Audemedon Gunship or Bazidanese Battleship...

I have a plan so ingenius even an idiot could have devised it. On my command, we will line up our ships and fly straight into the enemy death-cannons clogging them with wreckage.

Recently I've wanted to start up a bit of an artistic project, or perhaps a whole gallery of wacky sculptures. I just never had the huge amount of time on my hands. Well, my ship could be a travelling art studio! I could be a merchant, working all day in my little space-borne Outrider, to create whatever my heart desired. Now THAT would be cool.

About the size of a space-shuttle, but sleeker, and takes off horizontally. Lots of room for passengers, but not too much cargo. All the rooms of a normal house. There'd be a light shell turret that the copilot could man if it got in a fight. I'd make money ferrying passengers around the solar system, or taking them on sightseeing trips.

"I think I have discovered the problem with humans. It is not entirely stupidity, as I once thought. It is their pigheaded and baseless philosophy: "If it isn't me, then it's opinions, feelings, and life do not matter, and it was meant to serve me." They also have this ability for creating excuses that are pointless, but they get others to believe it. A few examples: "It's only some savages. It's only five acres of rain forest. It's only one semi-truck. It's only fifty gallons of toxic waste..." After this realization, I marvelled at how humans, and the rest of the planet, have survived for so very long."

As for my other ship, it would be something akin to a Lightning; fast, maneuverable, and well-armed, if losing out a bit in the shielding department. I'd have to make up for it in piloting skill...

the first would be an all in one ship, massive, capable of housing thousands and having recreation facilites, parks and shopping malls. Could mine resources to build its own ships, and would have plenty of defence. About the size of the Marathon, but more of a moving space station then a colony ship.
The second one would be a medium sized war ship. It has a bizzare shape (i got it from a EV plug); going through the center horozantaly is a long shaft; at the front there are 2 fin like things curving to below the ship (there would be forward firing weapons here); at the back there is just a blob shaped thing on top of the shaft that houses the engines, some missle launchers, and a couple of turrets. At the forward tip of the shaft there is a massive forward firing beam weapon. The ship has a sort of bright molten look to it, because of its organic hull. And now for the realism part Because of its fast engines, good shields, and powerfull weapons, it's a really energy hog, so it can't stay in battle mode for more then 30min or so at a time, before it recharges

The living quarters would be absolutely tremendous and extremely well outfitted. Like a HUGE manor house in space. The ship would already be about 10 miles long, so the size of the quarters would be nearly irrelevant. It would have tremendous libraries, sitting rooms, recreation rooms, gardens, the works. On the long-haul flights between systems, when the ship just cruises, the crew of ten or so could go days without seeing eachother, wandering through the vastness of the ship.
It would rarely need to stop, as stopping would waste fuel. As it nears a system, smaller vessels carry fuel, food, and new cargo up to it, and detach the cargo pods they need. The ship just keeps on cruising along, useing stars to slingshot its way around the Galaxy.
