Yes, and I bet the four guys I have could beat your 2,000!
(ok, I have more, but only four are painted)

Ah, Warhammer. I remember those days. I find it amazing that I once had the time, talent, and patience to paint all those pieces. I'm still trying to figure out where I got the cash though...
And while I'm on the subject, I'll give a little tale of warning:
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Jordan (one of my arch enemies) who liked to exploit, steal from, trash talk, and use his "friends" every chance he got. One day, these friends finally listened to me and say Jordan for the Grade-A dirt bag that he was, and were pissed off something fierce. One of these enraged friends (whose apartment Jordan had recently been staying at) happened to be in possesion of all of Jordan's 800 Warhammer pieces; all painted. With about a pint of home-made napalm, a plastic lighter, a little time, and a lot of spite, Jordan's 800 peices had become one massive blob. We have yet to give it back or even hint at its fate...
------------------
Throughout their history these "unenlightened" beings have continually opposed and fought abuses of power wrought by their own bretheren. We, as the prophets would do well to learn from these Humans.
-Final statement of the Salrilian reformist Sirthis shortly before his execution.

Wow, lots of money down the drain... Out here, its about $20 for a set of five people, not to mention the extra $10 for a primer and two non-glossy paints.
800? Wow...
Heh, maybe you should just turn all the paper in his wallet into one clump of ashes with a lighter...it'd be faster and cause him less grief.

And what would be the point of causing him less grief?
Besides, this gave us another excuse to use napalm.

I think I've seen it before. A friend of the family's was staying at his dad's here for the summer this summer, and he showed me some stuff. They were little painted plastic dudes. He also showed me a magazine of it. Each guy has an army of the little painted guys and takes turns moving them and stuff. The basic idea behind it was good, but there was a lot of silly stuff, too.

Yeah, there are some dumb rules like "you can't shoot your leader unless he is in a 6" radius with no other troops". Many people go after the leaders, and maybe some people would die trying to save your leader, but that can be pathetic.
On the other hand, I like the imperial guard tank that can sit in a corner and blow the crap out of the enemy's force before they get to the tank. (its range is about 240") Of course, I only use it when they outnumber me 10 to one...

I used to play Warhammer, but stopped becauseit was expensive and boring. Necromunda is much better, but I've lost interest in it too unfortunately.
So I don't feel alone, or the weight of the stone,
Now that I've found somewhere safe To bury my bones.
And any fool knows a dog needs a home,
A shelter from pigs on the wing.

Space Hulk, Necromunda, Gorkamorka, Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Classic, Dark Future, Battle Fleet Gothic and Epic 40,000. I got all of them somewhere, and a 10,000 point Tyranid Army, which I bought of a friend for £20. Maybe I'll get back into playing them one day soon.

I have a plan so ingenius even an idiot could have devised it. On my command, we will line up our ships and fly straight into the enemy death-cannons clogging them with wreckage.
Stop Exploding you cowards!
