I know this probably isn't the best place to post this, but tonight I just talked a suicidal friend out of it. She was very depressed and I managed to cheer her out of it, but this has moved me.
The question I'm asking, do you consider suicide a way out?

I totally disagree with you Eminem. When I'm depressed, it's not something I want others to feel, it's something that I want to keep to myself. It even pisses me off when people say "are you alright?" and stuff.
To Slug: Suicide is obviously a way out - whether it is a good way out or not depends on the person and what they're feeling at the time. When I get depressed I normally listen to thrashy heavy emo-core stuff, it helps me to let it out.

It's just not the same when you wake up in the morning with a smile on your face
When you know you lied yourself to sleep to make it better"

I've attempted it twice (one time came very close to working), but since have looked back and laughed at the shortsightedness (if that's a word). It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
And Slug: I believe this belongs either in the Officers' Club or Trash Talk, but it's your topic so do with it as you wish.

Throughout their history these "unenlightened" beings have continually opposed and fought abuses of power wrought by their own bretheren. We, as the prophets would do well to learn from these Humans.
