1. What the hell are you talking about? Squids? I'm no squid! I don't really know how I got into that list, but I'd like to know.
2. There's no way Gates is a Cantharan. Anyone else pay attention to the part at the beggining of part 2 where it says that Cantharans once promoted peace throughout the galaxy, and were basically the stellar UN? I think that the sals made them go get the asteroid bits, and then they just went a little nuts. There's no way Gates is, or was, a defender of stellar peace.
