We all noticed the new designations, just decided not to waste the board space with useless observations. Posted Image

Pax, what does your quote mean? I don't understand it! Is it something that only Marathon players understand, or what?

Anyone who insists on spamming to become a veteran (like myself, who was a veteran before the revamp), please be kind and use Admiral Darkk's spam thread to do so. Hey, at least it conserves space!

Olivaw (Sheppo?):

Pax's quote is NOT something only Marathon players understand, it is something Marathon players do NOT understand at ALL, and very much wish they DID. Maybe I'll work it out someday...

Pax: 'Where are monsters in dreams' is the one with all the invisible S'pht'Kr, isn't it?

<WHISPERING TO OLD AWB GUYS>Sorry, I couldn't help it. I just HAD to get promoted. I mean, Admiral Dennis, Lieutenant Commander Earthling, FLEET Admiral Darkk... So, now you have to deal with 8 KESTRELS instead of LIGHTNINGS!</WHISPERING>

** 8 Kestrels -- 1 more step, double the Lightnings, triple the missiles and let's smash those Confed Cruisers! **

Indeed. They're not totally invisible, just mostly, and on a dark level like that your chances of actually hitting one is nil.
www.marathon.org/story

Look around for discussion of the alternate storyline that that comes from, it has something to do with a knife. Anyway, I'm using it, not because I understand it, but because its amazingly cool.
http://www.marathon....remonsters.html

That has all the level terminals, as well as the full version of the one I'm leeching off. I can't find the full discussion of that plotline, so you'll have to look around on your own.

[2nd Verse]
You Hear The Door Slam And Realize There's Nowhere Left To Run
You Feel The Cold Hand And Wonder If You'll Ever See The Sun
You Close Your Eyes And Hope That This Is Just
Imagination
But All The While You Hear The Creature Creepin' Up
Behind
You're Out Of Time

[Chorus]
'Cause This Is Thriller, Thriller Night
There Ain't No Second Chance Against The Thing With
Forty Eyes
You Know It's Thriller, Thriller Night
You're Fighting For Your Life Inside Of Killer, Thriller Tonight

No, its probably the twentieth-oldest topic or something. This kind of thing happens all the time.
