I don't really know anything about the redline community, so this drama confuses me. Personally, I'd rather not venture into the cthonian depths of the outer forums, I like my soul too much to lose it to wandering shoggoths.

Jacks: much like Tatooine and other planets in the Outer Rim, the Outer Forums breed tight-knit communities where the people are people -- to the extent that some of us have met IRL and generally we know what each other are up to -- and the anon-like mentality of flamehood holds little sway. The guy whose topic you interrupted was a big player in the early days of Redline's community, and respectful to everyone who played the game. He's recently migrated to other racing sims, but most who are part of the RL family make it back from time to time, so we all roll out the carpets to welcome such wayward sons.

A lot of people are non-English speakers, too, so many are probably wondering what the whole point of your little farce was. You're welcome to come and see what's what in our forums (unintelligible though it might be to you) but you picked a really bad time and topic to throw down. You likely didn't realize what party you were crashing, so it's no big deal; but next time, keep your chaotic-irony stick tucked into your pants where it belongs, please. Fair?
