Picture this: you see a girl and it's as if you should have known her for much longer than a few seconds, and when you first hear her name, you think "what a beautiful name." Then you try to tell her you love her, but she tosses you aside for other boyfriends. Losers who are no where near as smart as they think that are, and cheat on her to boot. You have no idea what the heck she's thinking. It gets to the point where she gets new "friends," who are no better than her boyfriends, and who hate your guts to boot. They make sure that you're separated from her, and you don't ever have any chances to talk with her, or ask her out for ice cream.

That's how you can love yet can't at the same time.

By making a deliberate and conscious effort to produce all the outward signs associated with love, but nevertheless being unable to feel the emotion itself that should produce said signs spontaneously.

Man, I feel like such an idiot. Thursday at school, we were both having a bad day. She was able to hide it, but during Orchestra, she was like "I do not want to be in Orchestra today." I didn't hear her very accurately, so I assume that's what she said. Then she said that she just wants to cut off her head. Of course, like the idiot I am, I started a conversation about what it'd be like to survive that. And then, I said "If you ever get that far, me first." She denied, because she didn't want to be charged with both murder and suicide.

Even though she stopped me from suicide 3 months ago, I didn't even attempt to stop her, and looking back, I should have. I'm really hoping that's not the reason she wasn't around on Friday....

Yeah, of all the non-absurd ways to commit suicide, decapitating yourself is probably one of the least likely to work.

I wouldn't be surprised, but it's only logical; to give away such a large piece of your heart only to be separated from it would not go well for either of you.

Perhaps getting a girl will be easier, and may not appear such an urgent yet insurmountable task if you deal with your other evident problems first.
