No multiple votes with multiple accounts, and the nominees can vote for themselves. Which is why I expect to get 0 votes.

Our nominees are as shown.

Oh wait, Tom, the Captain's already a Nazi.

I'll declare the winner in oh I dunno. I'll talk it over with Tom.

He's not on often enough. The Grammar Nazi must be on duty on a regular basis. I mean, we're electing someone to do a job that some people think makes him/her comparable to a Nazi. This is a huge responsibility.

Hmm...I wonder if we could get a real Nazi...

I've heard that before. I still don't know what it means...I'm assuming it's "laid-off", but that wouldn't make any sense.

Not really. Like I said, I find Grammar Naziism annoying, and even if I did approve I'd think of it as a job for the community at large anyway, not for a single person.

Lektor: Then you will be at the mercy of whoever we, not you, elect to correct your grammar problems.

Rickton: What if we restrict Grammar Nazism to ATT and B&B? And there is a purpose for a Grammar Nazi. Normal individuals are less influential. Who would you listen to? Me, or someone designated by the members as the Official Grammar Nazi?

Can I point out, one of the people in your 'poll' hasn't posted for years, the other very rarely posts here, and only occasionally in the B&B. Next you have a guy that will post once in a blue moon, here or the B&B. Archon I don't know, so therefore I'm lead to believe he either doesn't post here, or is so unremarkable a member, I haven't noticed him. The less said about Sparky the better, and finally I'm not saying that a guy from the Nova boards who's been so lazy he's named himself after a Sci Fi character with an added 'Captain' at the front of his name would be a rubbish choice, I, well, actually, that's exactly what I'm saying.

Also, who died and made you God?

Archon's the guy who made the plug Anathema for Nova. I:

1. Nominated him mostly for work in the Nova boards.
2. Have almost no idea who the rest of the candidates are.
4. Will keep the naziing to the Escape Velocity boards where it's possibly needed instead of where no one cares as much.
5. Don't know what I have a 5 for.

And seriously, who voted for me?

More "have sex with someone you've found," I should think.

To be fair, TJ, you're the only one I'd vote for! The fact that you post here gives you soemthing of an edge over the other ones. Besides, this pole has a serious lack of Taz.

I'm voting for Micah L for the same reason why I nominated him. He has years of experience in holding positions without being around for them, and I think that's exactly what we need right now for a grammar nazi, somebody who doesn't post.
