Well that explains it :P

I must say, marching band in college sucked. I hated it. But then again, I knew no one. And half the fun is friends.

I can't imagine where you folks find the time to be in the marching band in college. I haven't done so much as open my viola case since I graduated from high school.

We should get all the band/strings/choir kids from the boards together. How awesome would that be?

hm...

We all need headphones and a good quality instrument mic, and have a big however-many-ways skype conference. The sound might suck, but there isn't and travel cost.

No, you just need gaim/pidgin/purple and the appropriate plugin (i.e. XMPP console or Music Messaging). And for the gaim/pidgin/purple crew to decide on a name.

Of course. They're a lot cheaper than wood. Same with oboes.

They also don't sound as good, like an Oboe of any type…

And I guess I'm semi-back. (Was I ever here and when did I leave?)

I kinda' like oboes. I'm not too hot on the saxophone though (my apologies to you sax people).

Who the hell are you? :P

Anyway, all the female flautists I've encountered over the years out here have been smoking hot. We would always talk about this in the viola section while the other sections practiced back in high school and I'm kinda' curious as to whether this is true in other regions of the universe as well.

I hate Oboes, but I like and play the sax.

True to an extent where I am. Although to a man…er…woman, they are easily one of the more annoying sections of the band, especially when I get dumped in sectionals with them. At least this was my observation 2 years ago, before I got the hell out of school music.

"I hate boobies" is not something I'd ever say very often, or rather at all.

The flautists at my school are predominantly extremely quiet asian girls, who are at most slightly more attractive than the average (unless you have a particular thing for extremely quiet asian girls).

Quite true here, and it seems their hotness is proportionate to their talent as well. I've only encountered one first chair flute who I wouldn't classify as smoking hot (not that she was ugly, just average or so). But a damn good musician, though.

Also, now would probably be an awkward time to mention that my mom plays flute...
