Mechanical all the way. Although I do use ball point black pens on occasion, which is only when I lose all my mechanical pencils.

My mom knocked loose a chip of bone in her arm a while ago. It's slowly becoming more mobile, but she had to learn to use her left hand. Similarly, polio disabled by grandmother's right arm, so she is also ambidextrous.
