SA is about to begin the next round of purges – I hear Anax is a prime target this time around.

In other news, DEFCON is now undergoing beta testing.

We have a Cytheran visiting these boards now. Besides Avatara, of course.

Edit: Wow, I just glanced my address bar and noticed "1699999". Apparently this is post 1699999 made on the boards. What a freaky number...

And what are the requisite steps I should be taking to upgrade to a Defcon 2 alert level?

Post something spammy and useless. No wait, that'd bump you up to Defcon 1...

Hey, can we have less acronyms around here? I don't know what WAF is, nor DEFCON, also what does Azzyart mean?

Defcon, meaning Defense Condition, is a 1-5 numbered scale indicating the current threat status for the US military, and degree of readiness. I don't think it is inherently nuclear in nature, but generally speaking Defcon 5 is peacetime, Defcon 1 is imminent attack. Defcon three is when air and naval combat is authorized and normal radio callsigns are replaced by classified ones for increased security. As far as anybody knows, the Defense Condition has only reached 2 once, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On 9/11 we were on Defcon 3.

In our household, it's permanently on Defcon 3. I never can understand anyone.

My house is on Defocn 4. It used to be worse though, before my bipolar sisters went to live with my dad. Then it was usually Defcon 2 and sometimes 1.

It's usually Defcon 5 all the time around here. It does get up to Defcon 1 every once and a while though.
