Linkin Park is rap/metal hybrid. True rap, by definition, does not have a melody which is separable from the bass line, thus making it dull and monotonous.

That is a woefully inaccurate assessment. Rap is just as capable as any other genre of being interesting and engaging.

Rap is good, when it's not talking about money, runnin' on dubs, shooting things, ho's, drugs, alcohol, staying at Holiday Inn's, and "busting a cap in yo' ass".

So really... rap is never good.
