Yes, the time has come. Not only am I now messaging all of you fine ladies and gentlemen from my cozy dorm in Temple University. But Im doing it. On a Macbook. And I must say that the the apple switch was probably the best thing I could have done. Dozens of other kids sat perplexed over their fancy dellstrying to connect to networks and install akward software, while I , convienienced but not aloof, tried desprately to help them in any way I could. But Alas: "I need help! Are you good with Dell's?" "I'll do my best, but...I use a mac".
It felt good to say, to be honest. Of course, Im still blindly trying to feel my way around this little beaut' having used pc's all my life. At any rate, I'd say im doing pretty well for myself. Classes start on Monday and my heart flutters with excitement if not a little anxiety. But thats all to report on that for now. Just wanted you to know. I joined the cult.

Congratulations – on both getting a Mac and getting one of the Intel machines. I too use a MacBook. Which one did you buy? 1.83 GHz white? Black? Etc?

We seem to be forming an ever-larger society.

Where's Temple University? Boise State seems to be the only college that decided to start classes this past week.

White 1.83 Ghz dual core. Its....really sexy. Temple is a pretty big campus stationed in Philadelphia. Its not in the best part of town and, as my friend said "The further I go from the campus the more I feel my life slipping out of my control". But Im not one to be concerned with personal safetly in most situations, so It rarely becomes an issue with me.

Cool beans – I have a white 2.0 GHz MacBook. TJ has a 2.0 GHz MacBook Pro IIRC…

Nay, UNM started last monday as well. 2.0GHz MacBook Pro here too (decided that the old Pismo that has carried me thus far in college had to be put out to pasture). And now, the subject that all beginning of semester topics invariably turn to, how much were books this year?

I made out about as well as usual with only $348.89 in damages, but the bane of upper division work has hit me in that that amount is spread out between 18 books. I miss the days when I could plop down $400 for 5 or 6 books and wouldn't have to read them. Sure they were way too expensive per word, but all things considered, I preferred the higher price-per-word ratio to what's happening now.

Good to see more and more members are joining the Intel army. ;) (hehe)

I spent about $300 in books, and discovered today I have to go buy a set of videotapes because it's a telecourse class and they don't have any in the store. :P

Forget the Intel army, I'm holding my breath for the impending arrival of the TOPIC about the Intel army.

Which will happen whenever I feel like it.

Everyone I know (real friends too) is getting a MacBook [Pro]. I'm gonna get one next year before I leave for college.

And now that you're at Temple, we're rather close in location.
