Good news/Bad news time...

Good news: I got a MacBook Pro
Bad news: I just left everyone in Reno and moved to Boise for college. Sadness.

That is all.

Good news: I got my copy of Windows 1.0 running on my MBP (yay, now it has a usable OS :P)
Bad news: I couldn't subsitute the crappy ATI card that came in it for those awesome Intel integrated graphics.
You put what on my x86? An evil twin.

Good news: I can install Linux on my PPC.
Bad news: The GDM, KDM, and XDM all don't work due to corrupt files on the installation disk.

How did you get it to not scream bloody murder at hardware it wouldn't hear of for several years?

Or use more than 640k of RAM?

Who needs friends when you have a MacBook Pro?

Just kidding. Don't worry, you have the internet to contact friends, and you can always go home for a visit.

I'm gonna have to deal with moving away to college next year if I end up in Manhattan (though this is choice #2).

I say the same, TAC 1. The computer I'm working on screams bloody murder when I try to execute the KDE.

Wait... How the heck did you get Windows 1 to work on a Mac Book Pro? Or have it support the enormous amount of RAM that is in even the CPU's L2 cache? For serious.

Would you be okay with me referring to you as "Sista" or "babygirl" on semi-regular basis?

In the first of my recent few days of idleness, I bumped into one of nVidia's office managers. She was returning to NC from California (something that happens quarterly), and passing through a local airport.

No free GeForce 7800. Graphics hardware is too hard to come by, even for them.
