It's amazing to me all the speculation that has been going on here, theories abounding about why who did what and why this board has fallen into shambles.

For starters, Ares Trash Talk has been a hit or miss board since I started coming here 4 years ago. It was TheJ and the Reno clan that revitalized it about two years ago, and as you may have noticed a vast majority of them have gone missing or been posting erratically...

My visit to Reno this summer did not go over in the peachy-keen way all of you board members may have anticipated it. Firstly, I was 20 years old going out there - the average age of the Reno clan was hovering somewhere near sixteen. Secondly, I am, to all of you, some random guy from the internet. I don't care how many years you've known me, if you've never met me then you're family probably isn't going to be cool with it and it's all going to seem reeeeeeal shady to everyone on the outside.

I talked to a lot of parents before I flew out, looked hard into renting cars and did everything that I could to remain as neutral and transparent as possible to the clan's folks.

Basically, my physically visiting Reno changed a lot of the dynamics between myself and them, thereby altering the dynamics on this board. No need to speculate wildly here, nothing of significance to any of you occurred, simply some political unrest and a wild mix of misunderstood motives all the way around.

So vague as that all may have been, for the most part, my visit to Reno this summer wildly affected these boards. And that, is the truth.

Yikes.

Erm... so parents got paranoid and revoked the Reno clan's privileges for posting?

Not exactly, but on par with my prior post I can't delve into details that clan members may not want to discuss.

Trust me, nothing shocking occurred, I just wanted to shed a little light on this mess.

The Reno trip was really nothing more than a friendly visit but it did have larger effects.

I still think it's Avatara's fault.

There's no hard feeling on my end; I just havn't been online as much, and when I have, despite this being my home page, I didn't always check.

I'm working on reversing this.

Trash Talk isn't really in shambles. I have seen it evolve over the past 3 years (my 3-year anniversary is soon I think), and this isn't necessarily a "bad" time. We dont' really know how to let a topic end, which is why there are so many locked topics. This, to me, doesn't mean the board is in shambles.

I thought the visit was fun.

This explains a lot.

Trah: we do to know how to let a topic end, we just don't know when to let the topic end.

I had a great time meeting everyone, sure did. But I've gotta say I was relieved when I was wheels up over Reno and headed towards L.A. - plenty of people thought I was insane for being there.

Just blame it all on me. The only reason there were hard feelings were because of me. So stone me now and be done with it.

hahaha - I can't pin everything on you, come now - there were a LOT of factors that went into that trip, a whole heckuva lot. Like I said, mixed motives interpreted by many people - I'm sure that the Clan saw me coming to visit for one reason, the parents perhaps another and each individual had their own interpretation as to why I was coming.

So things turned out the way that they did. And that's ok - I have no hard feelings for anyone at all, I just thought that the board should know a little bit about the reasons for the recent decline in Trash Talk here.

Your description of him tripped the profanity filter.

You had a heart transplant? What did that have to do with anything?
