First off, I must say that while I haven't viewed this board for a while, there are still some things I must take exception to, during my brief visit here. In defense of moderation and the like.
Let's get something straight first, Ankhwatcher-yes, I could probably be described as a hypocrite, here. However, without that shocking piece of evidence, I know you'll go back to that particular thing several times in the future, in a pitiful attempt to discount everything I say.
If it makes you feel fulfilled:
Consider yourself discounted.

Anything that'll knock the perpetual chip off your shoulder is worth a try.
This is nothing new; why do you feel the need to put this at the top of your post? It would be more appropriate to affix this to your signature.
Thank you. But
I will decide what goes in my signature. For one thing i occassionally post from college, when i'm cranky because i got up early to be there.

In your hypocrisy, by posting a topic in the board that arrogantly fulfills your selfish desire to flame everyone with impunity, you're effectively doing the same thing you describe here.
No, your missing the point. Jamin came in and said (massively paraphrasing here [I don't know why i'm even putting it in inverted commas]) "This place used to be really entertaining! But now you've all got boring so
Dance! Monkey! Dance!"
It was that attitude that irritated me greatly.

Personally, I doubt that anything could be considered a tirade against Apple Core, from what I've seen of the other people in general-if not necessarily on this board. My post is a tirade, yes. Your post is a tirade, yes. But nothing from any of the three people above would qualify, I'm sure.
You don't quite understand how i define a tirade. This is not a tirade, this is more of complaint. By tirade i meant the hounding of TAC with many complaints, consistently over a long period of time.
When i first started posting on this board, TAC seemed to be... well, an bastard. Which was probably because he was rightly pissed off at me for my light hearted attempts to make fun of Mac users on the EVN boards {which he frequented}.
Avatara came across as someone who understood that my actions were in jest and not meant to offend. He liked to quietly undermine TAC.
But over time TAC and I learned to get along, each having our own oddities.
But Avatara was still hounding TAC, like a drunk friend who is desperate to pick a fight before he sobers up.
He's kept it up for what... six months now? Maybe more?
And then, Hamster and Zortrium arrived (I'm not sure in what order) and due to their peak net use times being the same as Avatara's talked with him, sometimes in 1v1 chats that would extend a post by a page or two [that's my rather small pages, mind. Avatara has mega pages and will point out any failure to recognise this.]
And lo and behold! soon Hamster and Zortrium were making little digs at TAC at every turn!
Frankly, its bullying; the moderators are too busy locking topics for no reason and have too much respect for the older members to do anything about it.

Like I said, I haven't been able to observe the activities of this forum too much as of late, so if you think you can prove me wrong, feel free to send me a private message.
I'm sorry your ill informed, but its all there in front of you...

They're only hypocrites if they've advertised it in the past-or, more generally, a certain thing with great frequency. Of course, this hasn't happened, but you brought up this minor detail into a chasm of error simply to make another attack on the moderation. It's one thing when he says "You know, it might be a good idea to go on IRC" after ten people post in one topic constantly for a period of two minutes. Another when he constantly makes references to the channel and advertises it in every fifth post he makes.
Look, I often post with TAC, when only the two of us are online. And if we have created a string of posts that may be nearly a page long. In the past he has suggested the use of IRC, so as not make a mess of the boards.
Avatara and Zortrium/Hamster have made much longer strings of posts, no more on topic than anything TAC has posted. They have never suggest IRC or anthing else.
It seem hypocritical that they then class him a "spammer".

And you *are*? Whooo, one completely unoriginal word game! Ankhwatcher has done something great!
Something great? I've done nothing of the sort. I never said i did.
Why are you judge an jury?

You bash just to bash-not because you have any legitimate reason, but because you're a Rebel Without A Clue™. The moderators have been doing a fine job. Unfortunately, the spam generators on this board are working full-time.
And "neck", not "kneck".
See above. And that the Irish spelling of qneck.

This is part of the reason why people go on these so-called "tirades", Ankh-and with justification. It gets annoying hearing about his constant IRC stuff with basic instructions-and when it's just a truckload of garbage about attacking #ev3, that's *plenty* of justification, I'd say. If a guy named "mr.l33tn00b" came on Ares Trash Talk and spammed ten thousand posts a day, wouldn't you feel outraged? No, you probably wouldn't....because that already happens, in the form of ATT regulars.
Bob, have you ever heard the phrase
too each their own?
TAC is not hurting anyone, he is just being him. Let him.

If it wasn't for moderation, this place would've fallen apart and died a long time ago.
This could very well be true... I haven't been here long enough to know. But I don't know how much more moderation this board can take.
