Popping into #ev3, I glanced, curious, at the top of the client list, and saw one green dot... the bot, operserv. They have no ops. The time to take over is near... if it's going to happen soon, anyway.

Thank you, Apple Cøre.

The time of darkness is upon #ev3. We shall soon invade.

I've noticed that the entire "ATT" A-Team is composed of B&B members. So if you're going to take over #ev3, it won't be as ATT. Besides, that'd drop ATT to the level of the W3GD group, and we really don't want to be them.

This post intentionally posted last so other browsers trip over it and get injured knees.

Nobody said you couldn't help. If all goes well, we will be getting support from the Avara community. If you want, you can draw on the Cythera community, or possibly the EVC/O community.

I post here because I like to avoid places like #ev3 and the B&B. Why on earth would I want to take them over?

So we could make them less like BnB/#ev3.

Avatara! I know where you live! I mean... I saw you in #ev3!

Believe or not folks, Avatara took a step into #ev3 today. Proof:
	-->	Tyrael (~Patryn@aden2-56-dhcp.resnet.colorado.edu) has joined #ev3
	<--	Tyrael (~Patryn@aden2-56-dhcp.resnet.colorado.edu) has left #ev3
	<DestroyerE>	holy crap
	<DestroyerE>	COME BACK AVATARA!

Methinks Avatara was verifying the point of this topic, that #ev3 lacked ops.

#ev3 rarely has active ops. But there are always some waiting in the wings.
And #ev3 is more like ATT than the B&B as it is.
But with less penguins.

I was trying to see if you guys were really spamming #ev3 or not and if action was required. Fortunately, it doesn't seem the A-Team was that stupid.

The A-Team has not yet gathered its firepower.

Note to A-Team: use proxy servers.

Note to Avatara: The BnB is not as endearing as ATT. And I try to spread my influence everywhere. Excluding the other Ares forums, they're too dead.

I don't really get what the big deal is. Just because some channels have all ops doesn't mean that #ev3 is vulnerable because it doesn't.

#ev3 is vulnerable to people with free proxies + new nicks/public school computers + ChatZilla (which can work without a hostname).

Note to #ev3 spies: this plan has a 50% chance of failing before it begins. You will have your channel back... eventually.

Why is everybody looking at me? I'm not that good with Linux...

Dn't worry, we aren't looking at you. Everyone knows Linux hackers live in their parents' basement, own old hardware, play open-source games, and somehow do not consider cable internet a large expense.

Oh, yeah, we are looking at you.

No, I live above ground. I'm going to school, hopefully to do something useful.

own old hardware,

Yep.

play open-source games

Yep. Then again, Avara isn't.

and somehow do not consider cable internet a large expense.

It isn't a large expense to me, because I'm not the one paying for it =P
But I might have to get a cable modem/service so I can do worthwhile things with my Linux box (like hosting Aleph One/Avara/Ares/other games). Games are counterproductive to hacking, unless you are playing something like this (send to Matt Burch so he can come up with a new AI for 1.0.9).
