Its like what happens when you cross a phoenix with a super black hole; it's powerful enough to destroy itself, only to be reborn in a vicious cycle of torment and pain. Or in this case, nonsense.
-Avatara, on the life cycle of ATT.
Dude, imagine Redline Trash Talk; the unholy spawn of B&B and ATT.

Heh, might I add that EV4 was a joke that me and McJohn started a long time ago (so long ago, I don't even remember what the joke really was)... At one point I was going to remove Nadia from there, but I never got around to it, and so it stuck. *shrug*
For some reason these boards don't really seem to work nearly as well in IRC form vs board fourm. Quite simply what happens is, no one shows up. Because of this, it always fails. A lot of the people either refuse to go on IRC, don't know about IRC, or used to go on IRC but don't go on anymore for some reason or another.

IE, not enough people show up so after the 100th time of nobody being online, it just doesn't seem worthwhile.

No, that's okay. I'd assume that you're certaintly welcome to try. Nothing wrong with trying... just don't know how long it would last or how many people might show up.

My information is incomplete. Theirs shouldn't be.
Or... the short guide to IRC.
1. Get a client.
You use Windoze (I think), so I can't help you much with a client. A Windoze-using friend of mine would say Chatzilla, but I've never used it, so I can't say much about it. Even if you don't use Chatzilla, at least get Firefox.
2. Set one of your servers to irc.ambrosiasw.com. The port should be 6667.
3. Pick a nickname and a "real" name. Your nickname must be a~z, A~Z, 1~0, no spaces, special chars. Ignorant of this rule, I showed up one day on #ev3 as "The".
4. Log in.
5. Type "/join #att" (no quotes).
If you did everything right, you should see something labeled "chanserv" next to your nickname and possibly others.

The correct server is irc.ambrosia.net not what was posted above.

ankh: because this is a forum of a predominantly Mac software company. And I know how to do just about anything and everything with computers short of programming something useful, or making Windoze bulletproof.

And can you tell me how to change a finder shortcut so command-shift-G launches a specific folder window rather than the "go to folder" shortcut, the latter being something I never use. Third party programs are a heavy minus.
