If you havent noticed the lack of posts by me in the latest story (which was created by me, ironically), then im gonna let you all in on the secret now. I am falling on what some would consider to be hard times, and am dropping out of the story due to my inability to do anything for it.

First, what happened a few months ago could have been forseen, my computer was having problems leading up to its final demise, but I didnt figure it would go completely blank on me. 3 months ago the computer made its final hack and cough, and no longer works.

At first, I was wondering wtf to do about all that, but that wasnt even the biggest of my concerns. My biggest worry was doing this story even though I was computerless. I eventually conned my roommate into letting me use his computer for the duration until I obtain one of my own. That worked for the time and I came up with a nice little scheme to get myself a new computer and erase the problem.

During this period of time, we fell into arguements with our other roommate and he jetted on us, killing our cable and pretty much ######ing us over on that regard all in all. It will be another couple of weeks before we are able to conjure up enough dough to get cable and the offhand ability to use the internet again.

So that happened a few weeks ago, and we are currently unable to connect. How am I on? Im at my parent's house, enjoying the first full hour of internet ive had since early January.

But none of that really hurt me as much as the next part. My scheme for getting a new computer should have come back by now, but due to problems with employers, my tax forms didnt arrive until just recently, kinda killing that plan. Not only that, but the tax return isnt nearly as large as I originally thought, instead being $75 when I anticipated well over a grand. Bah.

So, right now, im in a bad spot, followed by another bad spot and preceeded by even more bad spots. You will probably not see me posting on the main story anymore, as im unable to do anything for it. I will send something to Avatara so that he might be able to free up my characters by the end of the story so that they dont die and I can use them once more when I finally do get back online.

Dont think that this is the last youll hear of me, but dont expect the next yowl from these lungs to come anytime soon.

Ive come to respect this fierce little community we have built here, and I would hate to come back to see it gone, so please dont bail on me, im just a few months away from returning.

Respectfully yours,
Joshua Michalski

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you'll be able to join in the story later, though.

Is there a public library nearby? You might be able to have free internet access (although for minutes, rather than hours - but enough to read up, and then come back the next day and type up something you had handwritten) there.

closest is around 8-10 miles from here. That kills gas, which I need to try to keep to a min (esp with rising prices). Ill be all good soon enough, but not soon enough to continue this story.

Not quite, but I have used the public computer lab upstairs quite a bit when my computer tanked.
