You find and use a whole bunch of unguent, you go ask Alaric to help you, you can find or make Antidote Potion, or you use the spell "Cure" or "Alleviation" or something. Spells are the best way if you've got decent magic levels, but Alaric is the easiest way early in the game. Of course, you have to be registered in order to get Alaric's help...
