Your feet.
Throw bombs at them. That was my perfered method when I used to play.
You need to shorten the fuses by letting them burn for a few steps, then snuffing the fuses, to make them effective grenades, however.

If you have multiple questions, post them in one topic. Here, I'll move them all for you. Bryce has already answered this one, but here are my answers to the rest.
You can't. That's just something they say. It gets even more annoying when you have both Meleager and Aethon in your party, because they don't like each other.
Use ranged weapons or magic on them. Or walk up to them and hit them with your sword before they hit you. Also, odd helms provide protection against magical attacks
Using The Universal Currency Converter, I found that 25 US Dollars equals 36.52 Australia dollars. But I think you really ought to contact the Ambrosia sales people at mailto:sales@ambrosiasw.comsales@ambrosiasw.com if you have questions about buying the game.
Considering Cythera is a game, you should be having fun all over the place. If you don't like the game, play a different one. If you mean that you can't figure out what to do, I would start by wandering around and killing ruffians. That generally is a good way to boost your experience.
For any and all future questions regarding gameplay, please use the Search Feature or refer to Slayer's Guide to Cythera. Between those two sources, you could have answered all of these questions and many more, with the exception of the currency question.
