I keep getting the error- out of persistant storage space whenever I close a window. I saved the game with a bookshelf window open so I can' t continue. How do I fix it?

I'm not familar with your particular problem, but here are some generic suggestions.
1) Try increasing the allotted memory for the game
2) Re-install Cythera
3) Try opening an older saved game
4) Make sure you're using the most recent version of Cythera, 1.04

5.) Make sure your hard drive isn't full. I don't know why that'd have an effect on closing a window, but its something you could check anyway.

that didn't work. I'll try to re-install in a while. could it be that I use the trick where I carry more than I can hold. Because that's the only thing I can think of that might've screwed it up.

You could try putting some stuff in the bookcase then (I think, not sure if that's possible) so you're down to what you can legally carry, and then see if closing windows works.

From there, work a bit at a time and move stuff out of the bookcase and onto the ground.

Bookcase? the only reason I mentioned it is because i was looking at a doc. in it (in pnyx (sp?). now I can't move away from it w/out closing the window and erroring the game. I tried to throw out all the stuff but it doesn't work.

If you start a new character does it work? Can you open older saved files fine? (do you have an older backup of your character by chance?)

If you can answer yes to those first two questions, reinstalling Cythera probably won't help - it'd be something corrupted in your saved game.

Yes, things happen. Posted Image

If you're really concerned, every time you play for an hour or two, save a copy of your game file to use as a backup - and then update your backup as you go. That way if your game ever gets corrupted, you can just revert to the last backup you made and go from there.
