Why thank you! What part of the history do you want?

I'm honoured to be considered as one of the influences on this board Posted Image, but I would hate to have a "life and times of Cythera" written, as it would sequel the end to any changes I, and any other members, could really have. I imagine if this was published on the boards, others would generally regard the Cythera board as rather a lost cause.

P.S. I'm all for more active posting, if another team story came up, I'd be in it ASAP Posted Image.

On a completely unrelated note, Bryce's signature could just as easily be

#include <stdio.h>
main(void){char a[22] = {0x4a,0x75,0x73,0x74,' ',0x61,0x6e,0x6f,0x74,0x68,0x65,0x72,' ',0x43,' ',0x68,0x61,0x63,0x6b,0x00};printf("%s...n",a);}
/* Not just for perl. */

without being any less cryptic.

I'd be qualified to write about the first half of part 4.

Also, what exactly does the prehistory of Cythera cover?

You could also set your internet preferences to not display background colors.

Not all browsers have that option (I don't believe Chimera does, for one), and in any case, it wouldn't help much. Reading off-white text on a white background would be even harder.

@Bryce:
Not much more "right" than your version - the correct way to do it is 'char *foo="bar";' - the printf has little to do with it. Alternatively, you could go with this:
#include <stdio.h>
main(void) { char a[22] = {0x4a,0x75,0x73,0x74,' ',0x61,0x6e,0x6f,0x74,0x68,0x65,0x72,' ',0x43,' ',0x68,0x61,0x63,0x6b,0x00}, *b=&a; while (*:P printf("%c",*(b++)) printf("...n"); }

I'm not bryce, but I should think it would cover the early development screenshots (from the ASW Times archives) and the general development of the game...

I can't believe I was bored enough to do this; I'm probably going to regret returning later, but...
I can remember many things from the "Team Stories" era. I remember those times fondly, as they were in my first year on the Internet, and thus my first year roleplaying. I remember working so hard to make my posts sound intelligent. I was GameFanatic, my screen name then being a major factor for my screen name now...
...Then I got interested in other things and just about completely forgot about this place until I got a nostalgia attack and started replaying PoG. I plan to go through Cythera again next, and I've just about forgotten everything about it, but I won't ask questons until I'm sure I'm stuck. I plan also to join in a few of the Team Stories again.

Which totally got me off the track of what I was originally posting, which was something to the effect of helping remember the "Team Stories" Era, but I've grown a bit long winded in these 3+ years, and this post has turned into a re-introduction post. I'm sorry if this was any inconvinience to you, but I didn't want to litter the forum with and intro topic.

Edit: I just learned that there are some things that might happen in my life that will make me unable to post here for a couple of years at least, though I hope that these things do not happen, (I've only just returned, one would expect I'd be pretty miffed about being forced to leave again!) and shall still try to once again become a productive member here. What these things are...I might explain later, but right now, I am very sleepy. Goodnight.

------------------
It's been almost 3 years. Gosh, what an ignorant little prick I was back then. I don't know why I came back, perhaps because I was replaying Pillars of Garendall, or perhaps just to reminisce on old times, but...GameFanatic is back. A cookie to those who remember me.

That's right. We'd need someone who has been here for a *long* time.

I'm going to sidestep from the original topic for a bit to welcome you back. You seem to have changed quite a bit while you were gone. It shouldn't be too hard to make intelligent-sounding posts now, but don't forget to have fun too! I personally don't think your post is an inconvinience, but I'm not Bryce; then again, this topic is about Cythera's history - and you had a part to play in that. At any rate, it was nice to hear from you again.

As for team stories, there are currently none running, though several of us have a neat idea or two in mind you may be seeing soon.

Thank you for the warm welcome, guys. =) I would very much like to see these ideas, time and circumstances permitting. For now, though, I'm going to take a while to read a bit of the Tavern, and have a glance at what else I missed while I was away. With luck, I should be able to sidestep the bout of Real Life Syndrome that I've foreseen, and join in.

Oh, almost forgot...
