What can I, as one member, do to help breathe life back into these stale, moldy boards?

Well, I myself will probably begin to write chronicles, nothing speicial as I've never been much of a story writer... but I might as well give it a shot.

Hey, I tried to get the Mold and Mildew image off the Tilex site but it wouldn't let me for some reason. Next best thing.

well, let's face it I've never been god at writing.
Well, one does not have to be God or even a god to be good at writing, you know. Granted, I'm sure it would help greatly, but there are plenty of mortal writers out there that have done quite well - Jules Vern, H.G. Wells*, George Orwell**, Ray Bradbury***, Jane Austin****, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Michael Carey*****, etc.
* I loved 'The time machine'
** I never finished 1984. I thought it was a little too disturbing for my tastes. But it was good quality...
*** Read Fahrenheit 451. Good book. Confusing, though, if you forget that Bradbury uses a lot of metaphorical type speech.
**** No, i've never read her works, but my mom loves them and assures my they are excellent.
***** So maybe now no one outside the boards would list cache on the list of greatest writers they can think of off hand, but someday they probably will... if he gets published.

Yes, I have to agree with those writers, they are quite good. But I haven't read 1984 though. I'll have to check it out.

Sorry sorry, I meant to say "good" not "god". My fault, I can't even edit.

It's well worth reading, perhaps now more then ever with Bush as president.

Ody: I fail to see how Bush is similar to 1984. While there are a few parallels, you could draw parallels to almost anything if you wanted to. Most of the concepts are not similar - we can (and people do) express their discontent with the government, and no secret police kidnaps them and makes them publically 'confess' to treason.
Oh, I never finished that book, I got about halfway and it was like...meh...
