Aperantly you can not replicate "Magic items in the game, But you CAN replicate rings (of all kinds). What's up with that?!
(PS I searched but I couldn't find a topic mentioning this so if this has already been poted I'm Sorry)

I was able to replicate all the items in the game, indeed, in one of my games I have several Land King Amulets.
I think it depends on which version you own.

Going from memory, in order to replicate things, they need to "stick." You can make objects stick by putting them in a container such as a crate or chest, then destroying the container by attacking it. You'll then be free to replicate the object to your hearts content.

Strictly speaking, you don't need to use a mace, but maces work better for smashing than anything else.

After you've destroyed the crate, cast replicate on the object.

There's a spell called replicate? How do you get it?

To use a sapphire book over and over, first put it in a chest/sack and display its contents on the screen . Then talk to the librarian and "give" him the book, after the conversation, the book should still appear in the chest/sack if you kept it open. Drag the book from the chest/sack to the ground and pick it back up. Rinse and repeat
