What part of Cythera (the game, not board) was your personal favorite and why?
---
Mine was hunting for secrets everywhere, secret passages, secret knowledge, secret items, etc. Why? Simply because it was so thrilling to think that I had just gone into somewhere that you would not be able to recognise every day, to get the Sword of Heroes, to travel in the crypts of Pnyx, to return to Omen's layer, and to <I will not reveal the secrets of the game, but I will mention that this envolves Kesh, harpie eggs, a music-encoded lock, and old pan pipes.> This was amazing, because you knew you had just found something important, and you couldn't wait to see what it was.

For me, it was the feeling of acomplishment when I solved a puzzle without referring to Slayer's Guide

Especially when Omen specifically tells you not to at the very beginning of the game...

"And whatever you do, stay away from the shoreline!" I loved that, and when I first walked out of LKH, and the music changed... that music is so enchanting... just walking, exploring with that music in the background, I just loved it. The music in Cademia and Kosha is also very good. Only one I really dislike is the one in Catamarca... If the Cythera sounds are available for download, please tell me where they are so I can go get them!
Hehe, I remember when I gave the gator to Alastor after he promised me he'd make boots out of it. At the time, I was unaware of the bug that makes people disappear if you stay in town for too long, and I had been in Cademia for some days. When I went to Alastor's house and found no traces of him, I remember thinking; "goddamn it, that bastard lied to me and skipped town!" I also tried to cast the acertainment spell on him when I played with another character, to make sure he wasn't lying.

Hmm, music...
The system I first played on was very underpowered, and I had to turn a lot of things off just to get the game to run at a reasonable rate. Maybe I should play it through again now that I've got a better computer, just to see all the things I missed!

Say, can you ever use acertainment to any effect, aka, is anyone ever lying?

Yes, if you use it on any of the three brothers from house Comana, it will tell you they're lying. I never tried it on anyone else, though.
