I've been on the Cythera board long enough to understand mostly everything about it, except for these two things...

1. What in the world is the Kul'Shar Legacy?

2. Is there such a thing as a team chronicle? (I think there is) If so, how is this possible?

1. A rather old story that if you look at the timestamps on the recent posts, has seen better days. Perhaps it'll continue, there is so much more that has yet to be done there.

2. Where more than one person works together to come up with a story or parts of a story.

So Kul'Shal Legacy is a team story? And why is it that most people are not allowed to join the story?

Actually, if you were referring to the legacy itself, you had better hope the story finds enough support to keep going.

As for limited participation, well...it really wouldn't make any sense for new characters to enter in now, would it? (you did notice the 'part 2' didn't you?) The story has started, a good portion of the rest of it is going to be trying to get the current characters home.

I guess you could also say a group of us wanted to write a story but were too lazy to make it into a chronicle series. I think the TS format worked better for our purposes.

I almost understand. Posted Image But the first story was restricted as well, and that is where I lose understanding. ((Sorry for the stupidity))

Three of us at first wanted to write a story together: cache, Moonshadow, and I. Bryce e-mailed us frantically wanting to get in at the last minute, hence his shaky entrance, but Bryce seems to not have been holding very well to his promise. Posted Image

(Yeah, yeah, I know, you wanted to come back in KL3. We're trying...)

But since it was just us three/four that wanted to try the idea out of a closed TS - restricted to the people that created it, we limited it to us only. The storyline kind of took a turn that prevented us from changing that decision on a future day.

And no, I don't believe any of us intended to make a Cytherian version of Star Trek: Voyager, no matter how "close" the storyline seems to be. Then again, that is an idea... Posted Image

Incorrect; Cache invited me at the last minute and I accepted., thus my shaky entrance. And I had a hard time adjusting the the first two becuase of the fact that I didn't really know avatara's characters... becuase I was invited late.

Well, you should have plenty of opportunities soon. Its ironic how some of us unintentionally held true to the title of the story.

Understanding has filled my brain. However, it appears as though you idea was not terribly succesful, seing as the story is dragging.

There's a first time for everything, and in September a lot of things were interfering with our lives.

In case you haven't noticed, most stories haven't been overly successful since then.

Yup, a lot of things were happening, or starting to happen about then, that conspired to leave me almost on the point of total exhaustion. All of my writing suffered - and reading too, I'm way behind in the chronicles. Since I was the principle writer and driving force behind part 2 of the Kul'Shar Legacy, I guess it follows that it's largely my fault that it's languished. I hope we'll be able to overcome that, before too long.

As for what's happened to the chronicles, I really don't know, since it's not limited to just me. All of our regular writers, myself, Katerei, Mr Somebody and others seem to be affected, yet none of those I've spoken with have expressed any intention of giving up. Perhaps we'll all regain some energy in the new year; I hope so, anyway.
