We don't heve quite as many chronicle as most months, but we may as well carry on. The contenders are:

A Secret Temple, Part Six by Heidel

Hopefully we'll get a couple more votes this month since some of our more prolific posters haven't submitted chrons. For those interested, the official rules are here. Note the slight modification concerning sudden death. Of course, that one can't really apply this month. Good luck to both our contenders!

I vote for Heidel's chron, ST-6.

I had a tough time deciding between Shadow Warriors 5 and Secret Temple 6, but I think I'll have to vote for Secret Temple. Both of you did a good job.

Nice voter turnout, eh? Must be a slow time of year. Or maybe people just don't read as many chrons as they used too for some unknown reason... maybe school being in, no more free time. Yeah, That's it... Continuity has nothing to do with it. Posted Image

Ack! Haven't we discussed this before!? As long as the TSes and chrons maintain internal consistency it's okay! But since you insist:

All chrons are considered non-canonical.
Once Again... is considered non-canonical.
All activity set in Cythera's future is considered non-canonical.
Any activity occurring in the world of Cythera but on an island other than Cythera is considered non-canonical.
All other TSes occurred in the same chronological order as they occurred in real time.
TSes whose overlapping timeframes would cause a contradiction occurred back-to-back.
The Tavern is acknowledged to be in very poor synchronization with team stories.

Satisfied?

I agree that the TSes and chrons, future or otherwise, are not cannonical - cannonical with the 'real' Cytherian future that exists only in Glenn Andreas' mind. (Or is possibly scrawled in a notepad in his desk somewhere, but the point still holds. The point being - we don't know about it.

I admit you're winning me over a little to your point of view, but I still think that cannonical or not, Cythera's creative works should be co-ordanated to some extent.
Meh, you make me want to write the strangest and most bazzare Future Chron ever to prove the point. Maybe I will. Don't worry too much though, I might just lose interest...

The only possible way for that to work is to pretend everything up until, say...now, is not cannonical, and just start anew with lots of tie-togethers and such.

If you were to tie all the chronicles together it would make it impossible for anyone to read just one story. I imagine that after a while the stories would pile ontop of one another and use eache others leads, characters and locations. This would force any new comers to read every chronicle from this point in time onwards; before they can understand the one they wanted to read in the first place.

If everything was in a defined timeline, you start limiting the scope of future stories. The results of any actions or happenings from pervious stories would be forced into new stories, or at least they would have to acknowledge their existance in some way. Some authors might not being limited to something like that.

For example, Person A creates a story that Person B doesn't like, if Person B wants to write their own story, its difficult to ignore the events in Person A's story, Person B has to make sure their story fits in within a defined timeline, even if it is one that they don't like at all - which usually deters people from writing.

Putting everything in a defined storyline is most likely going to cause more problems than it solves.

[edit]Hopefully this time I make some sense.[/edit]

Perfect sense in my opinion.
I just don't see why it had to be brought up yet again...

Maybe I am just not good at group creativity. I guess I'll have to look into replicating myself if I ever need help with a creative effort.
